Damn, this went FAST, like less than 1 hour! Almost like in the old days...

 

This is some bs! As soon as I got the secret base email, I went to their site and it was sold out!

 

^ It's clear & it's pink. I think people hesitate on the marbled stuff because of the pour variable but for a release like this they are going to go quick.

This happened to me recently when they sent out notifications for a lottery. I think I received mine 1-2 minutes before the cutoff. Some newsletter applications provide an option to stagger deliveries to avoid setting off spam filters. They might have something like that enabled.

 

Got a phone call while I was sleeping from a buddy. Thankfully the wife heard it and woke me up.

 

So good. Guess I'll have to lurk the aftermarket for this one. Not too pressed; as beautiful as the whole package is my first thought was that I'd love to use the head and arms for mashups. One of the lucky owners, please do this so I can live vicariously through you

Man Secret Base used to be one of the best. Now they're basically another licensed toy company... Pushead, 1/1 skulls and Ms. Mysterious are all they got left thats interesting anymore. Sourpuss mode ended.

 

i love the micro infection monsters, i think 25 for 2 marbled figures is a very good price, considering marble basically doubles the manufacturing cost. I'm sure he has a multi-mold but you can't even get a mini figure pulled in japan anymore for less than 10 bucks.

I think SB is still riding strong with the large astro boys and mazingers, it's not my cup of tea, but it's definitely kept him in the hyped toy makers league with 1000 dollar figures on the after market.

 

I checked and with shipping to Europe it doubled the cost. So 25 for the two figures plus 25 for shipping. Not a bad price for both and I’m glad I checked, shipping just a bit steep there


And I still think Secret Base are putting out good toys even if a bit of it is just hype

there wouldn’t be pushead access to the plebes without these cats putting them out so that’s a plus

licenses is what keeps the thing afloat so let’s not kid ourselves that his is a venture for love only

 

My hope is that in the upcoming year we might see a return of the Skullbee and Skullbrain to mark their 20th anniversary...
