dunno where else to put this; 10 min doc about the hazards of making Godzilla movies. From a Japanese tv series called '"Stories of Narrow Escapes from Death" https://archive.org/details/narrowescapes2001
I thoroughly enjoyed Isaac’s return to MAGWOT. I mentioned it to him directly, but I genuinely appreciate that he spoke on his personal correlation between mental health and collecting. Really would’ve loved if this was, like, 30 minutes.
Great video Roger! Thanks for sharing, it's interesting to see what the prices are. Amazing assemblage of toys, some still in their original bags after all these years! Tiger 7 is wonderful, but for +160000, it's pricey considering the paint rubs on the nose and feet. Toygraph Racers are inexpensive though (compared to JYA prices). I didn't even know there was going to be some for sale! Wish I could understand what our enthusiastic tour guy was saying, just love him geeking out over some fantastic toys!!!
I am loving this new YouTube channel, FOMO toys; great editing with nice touches of humour. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCSda1EUIVtsrzC_9_c6BWOQ
It was kinda sad to see that Goto-san has not been able to fix up his workshop since it was damaged in the 2011 quake. Also, he must be pushing 80, no? He should have an apprentice or two.
I'm sure there are a lot of sofubi makers in japan who rely on his skills who could make time to help.
Chatting monster design with Kazumitsu! Thankfully, turning on subtitles and auto-translate help with about 80% of the video. I know this maybe isn't specifically about toys, but c'mon. It's Mr. Marmit himself! And all the toys start with a design. It's cool because I had never heard him speak before.
