Thats an awesome collection you've managed to obtain Frankenstein! I consider the Rotten Tomato Cross collab one of my favorites as well.
Something a little different from Skull Head Butt I acquired through the Rampage store this past 2 weeks. Got this one off in the mail on Thursday and i have to say i really really like this Oozieman figure allot! The neon pinks, yellows, blues and greens just seemed to catch my eye the most out of the batch that was released on the store page.
Looks like a new brood hatched recently, love the first one which was shown a few weeks ago: These new weirdos are all up to SHB standards: then there is this guy, winner winner chicken dinner! More details here: http://black.ap.teacup.com/skullheadbutt/
that was the 1st thing that came to mind when I saw that new doll too! The 1st LP version of Eddie will always be my favorite tho, LP as well. I hope SHB makes more non humanoids like the "Thin frill shark" Pretty bold knockoff but I like it better than the real thing!
^John, I couldn't resist snagging this pachi of shin gojira second form. Still in Japan waiting to be shipped to me. Hopefully I will get it before Christmas. More new SHB. These 2 were by lottery as exclusives to Convict. Lottery just ended a few days ago. The following are SHB collaboration with artist Yellow Wolf. YW designed them. Hourai Z Alligator Crocodile Gharial Crocodile aka Gavial
@chimply.kaiju thank you for posting! What do you know about this Yellow Wolf person? I have been seeing quite a few beautifully painted SHB customs? Micro runs? Pop up over the past several months and absolutely love them!
@patrickvaz. I don't know much about Yellow Wolf. I am still trying to find out his real name. He popped up around Summer of 2014(?) only as a painter doing official 1-off customs for Skull Head Butt and Marmit. His sales have been made at special events like Dept-H or SHB/Marmit YJA. Starting in July 2016 he started designing toys as well as continue painting.
Oops, correction.. saw the gator on YJA previously, not on the blog. Can we purchase it directly from SHB?
Few things I got back in 2016. Shin Rabuka sculpted by Akamatsu-san of Marmit for SHB. Junker 1-off painted by Yellow Wolf.
Who is Yellow Wolf? I alsways assumed it was just Akamatsu-san and an alias he used when painting with fluorescents.
I don't think it's Akamatsu-san. But who really knows? Actually you know what, it can't be him. I remember a post from Yellow Wolf blog last year that he was starting to try sculpting for the first time. Akamatsu-san has been sculpting for a few decades now.
@chimply.kaiju - I really like the Shin Rabuka you have been posting. Did you see the Yellow Wolf custom on YJA? I have been admiring all the YW reptiles so far, and I just landed these two Gavial:
@deafmetal - Thanks Mark. I did see a YW custom about one month or two ago. Those Gavial look great. How tall are they? Are you going to try and score the croc and alligator versions?
