This is the only band I've listened to for the last 2 weeks straight, seriously it's getting weird. http://tonstartssbandht.bandcamp.com/al ... ite-cobras http://tonstartssbandht.bandcamp.com/album/an-when http://tonstartssbandht.bandcamp.com/al ... -am-become
I was in your shoes last year like now. Love these dudes. Didn't know about Now I Am Become. Downloading now!
I have to say I pretty much gave up on music at the turn of the century. Loving old indie bands, shoegazing, 60's, drum n bass, trip hop, old hip hop I thought to myself: Music is only getting worse and completely without feeling. Curious about the track at the end of Season Finale of Breaking Bad 4 which is off the Danger Mouse & Daniele Luppi LP 'Rome' I ripped the whole CD today. What a fucking amazing album!!! Sounds like Stereolab meets Ennio Morricone!! Brilliant! EDIT: Hmm turns out they got players and used the original studio that Ennio Morricone used, so it makes more sense to me that it sounds like one of the western soundtracks.
Now I am Become is killer, I'm sure you're going to love it! I hadn't heard of them before getting the Midnight Cobras 7" sometime last year with a whole pack of records from Psychic handshake, Loved it but hadn't really followed up on finding any other stuff until I saw them play a short set as surprise guests on this little festival a while ago. Now I am obsessed. Their solo projects Eola and Andy Boay are worth checking out if you haven't as well: http://eola.bandcamp.com/ http://andyboay.bandcamp.com/album/born-to-fully
I hated that artwork for the new Mastodon. Totally looks like shit in my opinion. It ruined their vibe for me and I am just not into them anymore.... All their shit sounds the same now anyways...

Geez I guess I HAVE been b*tching a lot on here lately... Sorry guys. I'll try to cut it out and stay more positive.
Laibach. I just got this box set of their early 80's stuff. I have loved these guys for years, they are definitely an acquired taste, but their 80's stuff is so cool. This set is now sold out and out of print. So glad I got one before they sold out!
Wow, crazy Laibach set! I was listening to Zolla Jesus with a friend yesterday and we were saying how we really need to dig through the old industrial bands that we used to listen to and figure out what still stands up. I also just heard Sutekh Hexen for the first time. I was impressed. They are what I wish Dead Raven Quire was more like. Totally bonkers black noise/metal without the hammyness of Dead Raven.. http://soundcloud.com/sutekhhexen
SO hooked on this! But please don't call it desert rock. That's one of the worst rock "genres" ever coined. Not sure how people are really supposed to know about Uncle Acid. The first release was a release of 20. And Blood Lust was a release of 300 LP and 100 CD. I'm not paying $200 for a copy of the CD. Thank god for Soulseek and the like.
Yes. Listened to "Gododdin" recently and thought it held up very well. The surviving members of Throbbing Gristle have re-activated Industrial Records and are re-releasing remastered/restored versions all their early albums in several formats including vinyl.
