Most of my minis are a little squishy but this Anguiras is different from any others i have, it feels like a totally different type of vinyl.
Interesting. In the winter, I let my house get pretty cold overnight. First thing this morning, I gave every one of my vintage minis a squeeze: All of them had the same relative degree of pliability except for Inbera, which was a little squishier than the others. Who knows why. These things were made in multiple factories, which may have been using slightly different formulations of plastisol, or oil baths at differing temperatures which led to thicker/thinner vinyl, etc. One thing's for sure, though, modern Japanese materials and techniques produce much sturdier figures. None of my M1GO or Yamanaya reissues have any give to them. Speaking of which, I tracked down the light blue M1GO Angilas to go with my dark blue one: I know that there was a painted brown one, but did they also do painted pink and orange ones?
Nice, it's so much fun to collect the M1GO versions as well. I have seen three or four variants of the painted brown vinyl, but I have not see any pink or orange other than blanks. I wonder if there are any blank glow vinyl out there as game prizes? It certainly seems that they pulled glow vinyl of almost every Toho mini. I was considering a bid on this glow prize lot from last weekend with a blank Gojira, Gigan, and Titanosaurus along with a painted Gigan and Mogera but I let it pass by. Regretting that decision now:
Ultra Q Group. Slightly different versions of Gomess, new one seems to have greenish mouth and large eyes.
What a beautiful collection, it seems they just jump out from the bags. Those rare mecha-godzillas almost kill me.
@scobot Ahhh, i need both of those, so good! I didn't really know which version of Live King i was getting when i won mine, the picture was poor but both are really nice, like brown/green combo of yours.
