Nice! That just took me back to the early 90's; I had a job airbrushing t-shirts at A&S Plaza in Manhattan. I sprayed nothing but rap stars, graffiti tags, and since blunts were all the rage, I did a zillion "Blunts Bunny" shirts, "Beavis & Blunthead", etc
I want one with Hormorah. When does Glenn's Kustom Airbrush Tees & Amateur Dentistry booth open up at the mall?
Thanks guys! I've got a Madballs one in the works as well.. might have to make a seperate thread in Whatever (was there ever a fav t-shirt graphic thread?) so that @rattanicus can dig up some old photos of his stuff!!
What about a specifically geared “Airbrushed Tees/Whatever” thread? I posted a pic of a Gødland airbrush tee(I had a guy make years ago) today over in the comics section after seeing your work here.
I could not be more excited! I've missed two opportunities in the past 6 years to add this grail to my collection and today I finally get to complete the SSSS duo! Now onto the peculiar part. The eye discs are black, not the typical gold that the standard hedorans have. I know it's a 15 year old figure but I dont really know what would cause this to happen unless it was a mistake. Spoiler
Could those be stickers over them, to prevent tarnish? Or maybe they forgot to peel them off when bagging the monster?
They look they are just extremely tarnished. I noticed this happening with one of the other Hedos some years ago. I don't know what causes some to tarnish and others to remain fine, but suspect it is related to the storage conditions of the figure. I wonder if anyone has been gutsy enough to try and clean off the tarnish with some sort of metal polish.
I wouldn't be surprised if it was from storage, being in the same place for over a decade. I am almost tempted to try and fix them myself, they look really bad black.
I'm excited to add my first Gargamel figure to my collection... Here are a few photos of this Deathra (with a few more in the "spoiler"). I think he might be from a Lucky Bag from a few years ago? Spoiler: Click for more photos
Yes from a lucky bag but the medicom project 1/6 with the same paint on pink vinyl will always be superior to this one in my opinion
I liked the pink 1 at first, bubblegum pink vinyl is 1 of the best out there. But pretty quickly I changed my mind to favor the flesh/creamy tan LB version. The blues and greens look richer and more natural on it, and the gold bits fit a lot nicer.
Gotta disagree with you on this one. This type of light fleshy vinyl always gets my vote. The colors just seem extra vivid on the lighter vinyl
First of all, so stoked for you! What an incredible figure. Mine is exactly the same. I noticed on my Hawaiian as well. Mine even have a tinge of green to them. May risk it all and try to clean them.
