yeah i read an article saying airbnb was puttin in work to make reimbursements happen but i was checking up on it and it seems impossible considering the host has so much control over the refund policy
Yeah I mean I'm definitely not mad, and knowing how much energy and enthusiasm is behind CB I am reassured that it will happen at a later date. But air bnb can go to hell.
Yeah, it's VERY unfortunate. But i will continue to work and fight the mutant barbarians for toilet paper. CB will only return better and stronger. As for everything I painted for it, I am working on how I will go about selling it. I think it would be fair to let planned attendees with proof of ticket to get first dibs. I don't know yet, but I will have even more new stuff by the time the rescheduled CB rolls about. Just sort of glad this is the year I decided to change it up and didn't schedule many trips (esp. Asia) and planned for more solid online sales. Lets hope this virus all cooks out before Summer (slime) and before the economy melts down to mush. And I DO hope everyone gets their due refunds. I would really like to do a pop-up at Moryork gallery in Highland park eventually. It would be like selling in a sacred temple. The place is amazing and highly inspiring to me.
Do it! I hope all this happens (altho I havent got close enough to a market that actually had any TP to see if they were actually mutants scooping it up or not - but it seems likely, and barbarians for sure). So a big NO to Virus' and Meltdowns and a huge YES to refunds, a PK Moryork happening and the return of a bigger n better CB.
I’m way, way excited about this. Resurrecting an older, and one of the more awesome designs, is cool as shit. When this series of “monsters” shirts originally came out in Japan they didn’t seem to make very many of each(Frankenstein’s monster, Creature and mummy I remember). So it’ll be rad to have a brand new stab at it. And the fact that they were able to *actually get “Creature Bazaar” printed on the shirt for an official collab is just insane.
That shirt is RAD! I need a new one as all my BxH shirts must have shrunk. Which is weird because I never washed them.
I never feel comfortable in japanese t-shirts... especially after not wearing them for a while! Just weird-ass cuts
BxH shirts are printed on shirts from India, I believe. And they go by, I guess, American standard shirt sizes. Every tee and hoodie I have for great, and just the same as shirts I buy in the US. Their local blank tees, United Athle, are phenomenal. But those can be a bit hairy on sizes. Mediums fit great, but they’re a little short. Back to the thread, though, I’m still pretty bewildered some Americans with an independent toy show they wanted to put on were able to successfully resurrect an older tee design and get an official collab on it with Bounty Hunter. Not what I’d consider an easy feat to be able to work with Hikaru and Taka!
Looks like 2020 would have been a great event, with a strong showing from vendors; however, they did the right thing calling it a day. I managed to snag a piece in the online shop for a friend but wasn't lucky in getting a Headlock Bone Kun. Have told myself that it wasn't meant to be but I'm not listening
Socks! I don't really have the right space for the rug, but I love oddball socks. No one I know personally will know what these mean.
The Creature Bazaar event in Santa Ana last night was a hell of a lot of fun, even if my number never came up. Such a treat to see Daicon IV on the big screen.
Any idea the size of these Gan-Q? https://creature-bazaar.myshopify.c...-q-by-science-patrols-creature-bazaar-edition edit: Found him; just a shade over 4.5”. https://sofvi.tokyo/220504_science-patrol/
Thought I'd share an update from Creature Bazaar regarding some of the recent popshoplive event orders: "Hey everyone we just wanted to let you know that your popshop order has not been forgotten or lost, the item at the moment is just stuck in customs. Like most customs situations, they really happen for no rhyme or reason, we are working to resolve this problem with USPS and its honestly taken longer than expected, hence this email. We truly apologize and appreciate your patience and will get these out to you as soon as possible. Also sorry this email is coming to you in this way, but unfortunately we dont have access to people's emails from popshop, so we can see the orders but don't really have a way to communicate with them directly until you email us directly, anyway thanks for your patience." CB Not sure which items are causing the delay as I scored a few, but if you're waiting on your package, this is the reason! Can't wait for my Shirahama T-Rex!
I finally got some tech assistance for posting pictures, and figured this belongs here. Sad to bid farewell to the Fall rendezvous in Cali with all these rad dudes. At least we still have Summer Slime! Pic by Robert I believe.
