Whoa, fire dragon - where did you manage to score that Bullmark mini set with the flying MG and gold highlight godzilla? That is a tough set to find! I am still looking for that set!
funny to think that the little larva from that set can sell for over 800+. Godzilla and flying mg are up there too.
That set pops up for sale every now and then Brian. I've had three of them over the years and seen a couple of others. Just back today from a quick trip to Tokyo to deliver some toys, and one of the interesting things is that the buyer of a Marusan Plamodel Giant Godzilla i sold was actually bidding on it for a client in the USA (who supposedly already has a boxed one). I thought I knew most of the Godzilla players, but am not certain who was buying this piece. One quick photo from the Mandarake in Akihabara showing a pink Hedora and bullmark MG.
First of all, I must say that I like that standard Mecha and pink Hedorah. Ah, me....perhaps one day they will adorn my collection. As for my set of 4 small Bullmarks {brown Godzilla, green Mechagodzilla, blue King Ghidorah, Mothra Larva}, I picked them up way back in 1997, if I remember correctly. I traded non-Japanese toys {3 3/4" GI Joes and a few other things} for them and was pretty surprised. I know very few people that will trade non-Japanese for Japanese and would like to find others like that. They must exist somewhere. Anyway, they were my first Bullmarks and I did not have any reference material online or off to see if the deal was good or not...so I was taking a chance. Looks like it paid off for me as they are the cornerstones of what has become a nice bunch of vintage vinyl. Oh, well.....the search will go on for my next trade.....
yep, all three Mandarakes had MGs, Pink Hedorahs and King Bockles last time I was there. The prices were gnarly though. The mini set is great, but I honestly want everything but the larvae, so waiting for them to pop up loose at the right price is all about patience.
>Bullmark mini set with the flying MG I didn't see a picture of this somehow... Can someone please post a link to this? I didn't realize that there was a Bullmark flying Meka G!
mr smith, what brian means is that the mecha g was sculpted with its arms in the up position and not movable.
>mr smith, what brian means is that the mecha g was sculpted with its arms in the up position and not movable. Ah! I see. Thanks for the info.
ZAZAAN!! Cool! I don't know what it is I like so much about Zazaan, but he's definitely next on my get list! Great pics and great collection man, well done!
New to the board. I know this post is super old but id thought id chime in. Here are some of my Bullmark/Marusans. The rest are not setup at the moment.
Jonathan, its great to see you on here (and finally posting on a board ). Like I previously said, I think you have great taste in toys! And I love your overall display (as presented in the whole collection thread).
my favorite Baragon sculpt. It's pretty awesome that other companies have used. I've got a few Baragons so I'll snap a pic when I can.
wow shiver bones - how did you score that? That is the only Toho Hawaii figure I am missing besides Gorosaurus. That is a hard figure to track down!
Honestly, it was Absolute luck. The Figure was Mis-listed on ebay in just about every way it could have been!
