A bunch of the little guys, particularly the rockbat, are making me just a tiny bit envious right now; I didn't know that the rockbat and the car robot guy were in this series, nice scores!
Cheers, Yeah! Its weird Bullmark released a blisterpack set with a bunch of Toho monsters .. and 4 rockbat characters
This post is five years old but I am having fun comparing it against my new 450 Series King Godoras: View this post on Instagram Instead of scanning the original toy or recasting it to create this new figure, it was resculpted from scratch. I'm really amazed at how well the sculptor replicated the original toy.
For sure. He replicated it so well I though it was just a re-issue when I first saw the teasers. If you see another one available let me know. Im way more interested knowing its all new and a different size.
I've been out of collecting past couple years didn't even realize they did a remake! looks super good! what the size? the OG is HUGE!
This new toy is a 30cm tall "450 Series" figure. It is based on the original 40cm toy, not the 50cm one. We had less than 10 of them and they sold out on the first day at Five Points Fest. He will definitely be making more.
Picked up this weird hodgepodge guy recently, don't recall ever seeing another one. I would love to know what the hands look like so I can spend the rest of my life searching for them...
@XVivaHateX Wonderful mail day! That Godras is so nice! The photo and backdrop really highlights his colors. Congratulations !!!
Great paint on that one. Most of the ones I've seen are mostly unpainted yellow vinyl. (And I'm sure that Kaminaga-san would be happy that "Godoras" has caught on for that guy.)
Super bizarre! I love it. Bandai great maz legs/hips, mach baron face, not sure where they got the body.
Got a few things in the other day. Finally scored a vintage garamon after a decade plus of wanting one.
I wonder what it is about these vintage figures that makes them so great? Is it the fact that they're imperfect and often somewhat impressionistic compared to the modern mass produced figs? That they seem to have a life and vision that extends beyond the original work instead of just being a precise recreation?
