Some great stuff in this thread lately. @Ali from Baghdad that Gomess is so awesome! Picked up a few things. Finally scored a shinigami chameleon, hes in nice shape but has some writing on the front the made him affordable.
Thanks, Jonathan! Wow splendid! I love everything here! The Peguira is really a gem. And I love that Barom1 lunch box, looks like brand new. I would bring it to my workplace if I ever had one.
Here I share a couple of vintage toys that arrived in the last two weeks; Vintage bootleg Kikaida golden eyes, Masudaya Spectreman, Bullmark Baltan and Kanegon Kittoi.
Happy vintage mail day, after trying to hunt one of these for years I finally got a chance to catch Bandai's Majin Doruge. The good thing is that I can now erase it from my want list, but the bad thing is that now I find myself in the dilemma of going after the rest of the villains, which would not be an easy task, but I know myself and I know that in the end I will try to go by the rest of the gang of villains.
@Alebrije Roger, you've had some pretty incredible mail days, my friend!!! Very well done on the hunting for these wonderful toys. Of course that Baltan and Kanegon combo would bring a big smile to any fan, they will be most welcome in your toy family. And though I told you elsewhere, I have to reiterate once more how incredible and amazing I find that Doruge you picked up. A true grail toy for you I know, and one you've tried for many years to find. I cannot think I have seen one in such pristine condition! It is superb. You did so well with this adoption, and I think all the toy gods were aligned and smiling on you to give you this very nice surprise win. A worthy investment, congratulations on a beauty of a toy, and such a wonderful character.
@ultrakaiju , @rattanicus , thank you guys! Thank you very much Steve for your words, I think I haven't been able to take the right picture of that kittoi Kanegon that would do justice to it, without a doubt a beautiful figure and undervalued in general. Regarding the Doruge, as you well know, it is a figure that I have been looking for for a long time and at the same time I had lost numerous auctions trying to catch it, sometimes it happens to me that I pass by next to the shelf and I see it but I still cannot believe that it is already at home.
Wanted to wait to get a pretty large box from overseas but unfortunately its been delayed. Either way, had a very exciting couple of deliveries this week. Arstron by Bullmark Gorosaurus by Marusan Gojira by Marusan The Earthron popped up in pretty nice condition so I picked him up on a whim. The goro had been on my wants list for a few years now but kept missing it when it popped up, either forgetting to bid, being too slow on the draw, or getting outbid into oblivion. Its nice to be able to own one. The Goji was an assist from a board member, which is super appreciated! Its an excellent example of an all-over spray version.
Super great trio you picked up there, Brian. Some classic characters, and I know especially what a 'win' adopting a particularly nice example of a Marusan Godzilla like that is these days. Hats off to the community for sharing wonderful toys around, and kudos on some excellent vintage hunting.
@brobles amazing mail day, It's a great trio but I was fascinated by that silver-faced Goji, congratulations and thanks for sharing!
chased both the goro and the earthtron for years myself. My timing might have sucked, but your scores are beautiful, congrats!
If you've yet to score them I wish you all the luck nabbing them in the future. Seems like we've all got a toy or two that, although not super rare, continues to elude us for one reason or another. As an aside, box 2 came in today. Pics soon!
Mail box #2 Went a little overboard with the recent additions, but couldn't pass up the opportunity to check more boxes off my list. Marusan Triceratops Bullmark Light Blue Goji I only have two Bullmark Goji's but they're vastly different Spoiler: Bullmark Goji Comparison Bullmark Red Telesdon I knew when this one popped up that it was different than mine. These are fairly inexpensive so I was able to add the second version. Even the paint is slightly different metallic blue. Spoiler: Telesdon Comparison Marusan Baragon Bullmark Mothra
Wow man, another super impressive mail day there, dude! Just love both of those Godzillas you scored, and seeing them side-by-side is a real treat and one which highlights just a small fraction of the joy in vintage hunting. These toys really end up being unique, both visually and the history each of them has been through. Love the shades of Goji blue, and I know I am not the only one here.
