Re: Stoner/Doom Check these guys out, really long songs but awesome stuff! Wiht http://wihtleeds.bandcamp.com/
Re: Stoner/Doom ^ I like long. Downloaded and will definitely check it out soon. Anyone into Necro Deathmort? I found out about them because one of the guys from Astrohenge is in the band. I am listening to their newest album, the Colonial Script, right now and I highly recommend it for anyone into drone doom and industrial / electronic. Their previous album, Music of Bleak Origin, is also pretty exceptional (I've not heard their first, so I can't say regarding that).
Re: Stoner/Doom Thanks for the reminder. I loved the last album. Realized they're playing SF this weekend. Gonna finally get a chance to check em out. Psyched about this: Gonna have to try to make it again. If I do I'll get to chat up toys with KJB.
Re: Stoner/Doom What the fuck. They're playing Roadburn? And you're going? Ass. Killer flyer art. I just read that Pallbearer are playing as well.
Re: Stoner/Doom You guys dig on Belzebong? Some sick riffs here: http://belzebong.bandcamp.com/album/sonic-scapes-weedy-grooves
Re: Stoner/Doom Belzebong fucking rules! Their distributor Emetic Records sucks though. Ordered the CD and when it came in it was cracked with the shrink wrap still around it. Emailed them with a picture and everything asking if I could send it back and get a new one. All I got was "No."
Re: Stoner/Doom Dude, EVOM -- I can't stop listening to Goya lately. I bought their demo and one of their shirts and talked to Jeff from the band about possibly doing design work for them in the future. Who knows if that will pan out, but I offered and would love to (and have always wanted to do band design work). Thanks again for turning me onto them. This needs to be reposted: <a class=\"postlink\" href=\"http://marijuana.bandcamp.com/\" onclick=\"window.open(this.href);return false;\">http://marijuana.bandcamp.com/</a>
Re: Stoner/Doom thats awesome man! glad I could get you hooked. hopefully you'll get to make some badass album cover or something! be sure to let us know if anything happens with that.
Re: Stoner/Doom Haha, definitely will do! Seriously. Not my favorite of theirs, but there are a few tracks that are just absolutely killer and it's incredibly solid from start to finish. The track I linked earlier in this thread, White Light Suicide, is my favorite on the album. After the 2:42 mark -- Holy shit. I have to crank it every time.
Re: Stoner/Doom http://snailking.bandcamp.com/ not sure if I mentioned these guys before but I'm jammin on this right now. Sounds like theyve got some YOB influence to me.
Re: Stoner/Doom Not St-oom per say, but....as I mentioned above, was waiting for and excited to finally hear: John Hoyles writes a mean song and I totally love is playing and style. I'm not let down by this release.
Re: Stoner/Doom new Dragged Into Sunlight preorder.. http://www.indiemerch.com/prostheticrecords/brand/dragged-into-sunlight/?sort=newest&image=large little preview on youtube. I cant wait for this! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KvCkrV6CNCc
Re: Stoner/Doom good call Hatred for Mankind is still in heavy rotation Besides the new Pig Destroyer this is my most anticipated album of the year
Re: Stoner/Doom Hatred for Mankind is one of my favorite albums in recent memory. I'm kind of sad I preordered a Pallbearer hoodie since I want to get that DiS hoodie + 12" bundle. I'd get both, but it's not really all that necessary in Florida, haha (still may do it).
Re: Stoner/Doom Bell Witch two-piece crushing funeral-ly doom from Seattle. They're touring with the awesome noise rock band KEN mode currently (definitely should have worn earplugs when I saw the latter). <snipped black metal part>
