That sounds right to me. This figure grows on me the more and more I look at this thread. This seems like one you have to see in person. And once you do, you're sold.

That's if we can get it for retail. Once it gets to these shores I'd expect them to be around $100.

If you know of a place that will sell Japanese toys equivalent to the yen price, let me know :)

As soon as this figure is cast in clear Obitsu jelly candy colors....everyone will want it.

I won't, it can be cast in anything they want I think it's butt ugly and NOT in a cool way. Sorry Garga-crew, I love you, just not this.

I seriously don't see this ever growing on me. It's too "plastic" looking - no charm like a Bemon, or Zag if you wanna stay in the Gargamel family. (Bemon used as an example because I disliked it at first but have grown to love it.)
It's okay to swing and miss - I don't think there's any toy company that puts out toys that I like 100% of the time.

I see this as similar to the walking Hedoran with the seemingly smashed in face.
It took me a while to warm up to those with the weird face and metal eyes.

I definitely wouldn't collect a bunch of these, unlike the Hedorans, but I find this one with the red and green cool.

I guess if they're around 6" tall, I could collect these...sort of. man, they are weird, but so cool.

I can never see this "growing on me" as well, like the Jinga by RxH. That's fine though, more for yall! There's some toys where I go "nope, not for me but I can see how it's for someone" this toy I can't even do that. But again, I still heart Garg.

And yet you collect RxH dogs that some hate (not me).

I think its cool that people can disagree about sculpts in a civilized way.
It makes it more interesting if we all like different things.

so true! there is nothing that sucks more than wanting a fig you won't be able to get at the opener, but it is comforting to continually read how many people don't like it. it turns a "there is no way in hell i'm gonna ever get this" into a "there's a good chance these will sit around for a bit" feeling...

    Am I missing something?

Funny thing is how this controversial figure, deemed ugly by some, has attracted more than a thousand views and 3 pages of thread responses even when it hasn't been launched yet. For me the official Gargamel images has me sold.

So it's about 6 to 6 1/2 inches and it's one head that swivels. Some interesting aspects to the head.

I'm still into it cause it's so different and strange.

Not sure I'd like the other colourways that I've seen kicking around.
And I don't need a wall of them, but this one is quite striking to me.

Looks a little odd from certain angles.
This is something where it would be real interesting to hear the designer or sculptor explain the concept or idea behind the figure.

Good thing I paged to the end of this thread. The final pics make a fonder impression on me...the early one's left me cold. But with so much to collect (and p[ay for) these days I'm glad it's not calling out to me too hard
