This reminds me of a kind of Japanese design that you'd see in the early days of Giant Robot (early-mid 90s)...ultra + hello kitty + "urban", with a very generic feel. I didn't like it then & still don't.

The curlicues on the body are a nice touch though.

The pattern in the figure (and the dress) is a standard Arabesque line pattern. It's the same sort of pattern used in the bandanas Mori uses for some of his more limited figures.

Mm, I wish I could get my hands on that Kai-Zine so that I could know more about the sculpt before the show. The design intrigues me- especially the cut-away drawing on the lower left of the article.

Very true. I'd like to see what it says.

I keep coming back to this to check out this figure.

    Mikee-

    There might be 4.

Green (s7 version), orange head, red head, and white

And this one could be the 4th?

at that price they should at least be the size of the Tokoji. without actaully having the text on screen for anyone to copy and paste, it's hard to tell if it will be 9800jpy for both or 9800jpy each.

Both? Isn't it one figure with a swivel head? The swirls must be really hard to paint. Plus wasn't the fullsize globby almost a 100? or close to it...

the figure in person is f'in rad. the concept behind it even radder, I'll save that for somebody that meets Kiyoka in person at the show. He will explain it.

Where is this 9800 price coming from? That's definitely not the Japan price.

The one thing that I do really like about this. Is that it is so different from their other figures. It's odd, strange and very cool. I think after multiple looks it will grow on a lot of people. Gargamel consistently puts out good stuff so I have faith

I would hope it comes in at five or six inches.
If two could be had for 9800, I'd spring for two in order to display both faces.

It's just a rumor that I heard. I don't think it is 9800 because that would mean it is much bigger than you Tokoji.
Anyway, I'm really excited to see this piece along with the new Tokoji Seijin for the S7 Annivesary. Koji, can you give us a little bit of info on this? How big is it, are they 2 figures or 1 figure with 2 heads, will all the bodies have that pattern, the name...please...any info.

I would be SHOCKED if this was two figures, rather than one figure with a reversible head. It appears that the pattern is sculpted into the body, and people have said the name of the figure is Eaton/Iton.

I emailed Koji about it and he said it's about the same size as the tokoji and japan retail was 6000. I'm pretty sure that's what he said...(i took a vicodin last night for my ankle and had a few beers so I can't remember the details and I deleted the pm)

6000jpy makes it about $100+ which is the price of the Tokoji Seijin and Ojo Rojo. For that price I would get Tokoji Seijin over the others. I'd still get one cause I love that pattern on the body.
