Um can we just talk about the new Alola pokemon and new pokemon forms from the upcoming Sun and Moon games for a sec? Holy crap. Besides GO the only other "true" pokemon game I used to play religiously was Red......Sun and Moon look to be no exception! Amazing!
REALLY?! I nearly lost my shit when I saw a haunted sandcastle on the line up. It doesn't look that great but the concept is hilarious
Hilarious, but I'm so sick of the object-related Pokemon. :[ They seem so out of place compared to the original 151. I mean, I guess you could say Voltorb/Electrode are kind of object-like, but meh... These Pokemon will always remain stupid to me:
I can totally see where you're coming from. But the sandcastle idea is totally fitting of the game's locale not just something random. Different strokes for different folks! Misty is still bae.
If anyone is in San Jose, Campbell Park has a ton: Kabuto, Omastar, Omanyte, Magikarp, Jynx, Staryu, horsea, goldeen, rhyhorn, krabby, exeggcute, dudou, slowpoke, geodude, polywhirl, machop. I spent about a few hours, biking and had a blast.
I'm thinking of buying a bike just for Pokemon GO. Is that silly? Probably... But walking is really restrictive where I live. It's 0.6miles to the nearest Pokestop, which is 15 minutes of brisk walking. It takes almost an hour to walk into town. Plus, I haven't biked in years. Last time I rode a bike, I crashed into some ornamental trees in front of a nursery center on a very busy road. Whoever said you never forget how to ride a bike was completely wrong.
Well..if you bike you hatch eggs way faster. I didn't realize it but it just registers you as walking. Plus it's good exercise.
I've tested it and I've had to creep below 10MPH to have to clock distance. The other bug I'm finding is if the game glitches and throws me to another part of town and it makes me "race" back to my stop, it gives me the don't drive and play, and I have to select "I'm a passenger" it won't click any distance for a good couple of minutes. It thinks I'm driving but it's the game glitching and then I don't get steps towards my eggs.
If you're in an area that keeps losing reception or GPS signal it continuously makes the character walk around which helps with the egg hatching.
alola raichu and meowth look so SICK marowak is cool too but new meowth is my current favorite besides mimikyu! i never stopped keeping up with pokemon so the og 151 are kinda booty to me
The going too fast jawn is really pissing me off, hence my I'm not in a car at all comment the other day. Was walking around hunting yesterday, and came across a Nidoran. Still need them for King/Queen so I go for it. Breaks out of the first razz berry'd great ball, and runs away. Since I kept walking while attempting to make the catch, I was in a different spot once I was done wasting a great ball/razz berry. Duder runs to catch up, and I get the going too fast warning. So now my walking doesn't register? I really enjoy this game, but it seems they are honestly trying to get me to stop playing. Just one update that makes it worse after another.
Pretty sure I died when I saw Mimikyu. Unbelievably adorable and spooky at the same time. I can only hope my kids turn out that cute.
Mimikyu is amazing. I love Ghost Pokemon, and it's about time we got one that's kind of unsettling. I mean, it is kind of cute, yet terrifying! Kind of like a haunted doll, y'know?
Unfortunately mine is just causing me to lose out on steps and pokemons. I'll be in the same spot, in the middle of throwing pokeballs and it will say GPS lost. Then the game glitches and takes me back to the main screen. Oh well, just a game right?
grinded what would call a nest last night, yet they dont spawn as often as i'd like... im only a few away from fully evolving poliwag. need one more nidoran as well... 2 night ago I got Jynx, was driving to the courthouse through the worse side of town... Snorlax came on my radar, and it was on... I found that fool within 2-3 minutes and he put up no fight. Aerodactyl that night too... i'm 3/4 through level 22 and my pokedex is Caught 112 Seen 113.
Just a glitchy game, It's gotten much better than before though. That hasn't happened to me but I hope they fix the issue asap.
only glitches ive been seeing somewhat consistently are the super far ball throws as well not awarding xp for curved throws. Though that doesn't always happen for me I thought they'd already fixed that issue..
I was walking back from having lunch with a friend (our annual get together) when I remembered to load up the app. Opened it up, saw nothing in the area and after a few blocks, saw a guy and a girl stopped with their phones up and flicking away. As I walked by I overheard "Dragonite..." I didn't have one so I figured I'd look on my phone and there it was. After about a dozen throws, I got it. I looked back and they were still there and joined by another person. So I walked over and said "I heard Dragonite so I stopped. Did you guys catch it?" Girl 1: I caught it...1100cp Girl 2: I'm still trying to catch it...aaargh! Guy: Oh...I just got it! 800+ cp Girl 2: Finally (after both Guy and Girl 1 help out)...900+ cp Me: What?!?! Mine wasn't even 300cp Yeah...WTF. I tossed a dozen Ultras and all I get is 300cp at level 21. None of them were high enough for Ultra Balls (they all tossed Great Balls) and they all caught Dragonites that were 3x stronger than mine. Well, at least I got ice cream on the way back home.
^^If it makes you feel any better, I have a level 976 dragonair and a level 46, yes 46, Dragonite hahaha it's fine because he's a goofy looking one and I was never a huge fan, but I literally laughed out loud when I caught it.
