I have a Meowth I'm about to evolve! Unfortunately this new update has made the pokemon abundantly available around us before where we live, disappear. Not sure what that's all about but I'm less than thrilled.
Our best is a 458, second highest was 411, but we are still about one away from evolving, hopefully I can find one tomorrow! Will let you know what happens when we evolve it. I've had a ton of disappointing evolves in this game hah, it seems like the only hope for a really powerful character is either finding a buttload of magikarp, or continuously powering up a Dragonite, which is what we are working on steadily. We are slacking off on leveling up, since it's just getting so painfully slow and irritating to do. We are just shy of 24 now, but are no longer hustling like we were hah
I have a 590 Meowth right now and 60 candies. Not sure what level it will evolve into either. Might try it later and will report back. Update* My 590 Meowth leveled up to 1256.
^^ Ditto. Less than 10k from 22. Shooting for 25, and then I'm done caring about leveling up. Good rewards only come at the 5s and 10s now, and 25 to 30 is no doubt ridiculous. 22 to 25 probably is too though. Also, I'm not in a car at all.
Every level it jumps 25k experience at this point. I'm 23, almost to 24. But every level gets me ultra balls and raspberries now as well. On a side note, I'm at 109 caught. Ever since that update, stupid Pokemon I would farm for XP, like pidgey, all take 3-4 balls each to catch now. Or they run away after 2-3, it's getting a little annoying.
LVL....XP......Total XP. 25 150,000 710,000 26 190,000 900,000 27 200,000 1,100,000 28 250,000 1,350,000 29 300,000 1,650,000 30 350,000 2,000,000 31 500,000 2,500,000 32 500,000 3,000,000 33 750,000 3,750,000 34 1,000,000 4,750,000 35 1,250,000 6,000,000 LVL 30 is when it really starts to suck. And It is really not that bad until you hit LVL 33 and it starts jumping by 250,000 XP. Hatching eggs, hitting pokestops and mass evolving using lucky eggs is the only real way to level fast. If you can throw in some farming at a good lure spot with like 3-4 pokestops stacked close, that also really helps! I started looking in a lot of different spots and found a lot more Pokemon that I was missing.
I would be elated if they could get the Pokemon Go device to work for steps/milage instead of GPS. I could hatch a ton of eggs with ease that way, but this is SC in the middle of summer, I'm not doing my runs anywhere but a treadmill at the gym. It would be amazing if they counted towards the game. Come on Niantic, it's movement, who cares where it is, I still have to be outside the house for pokestops anyway
Especially since the GPS only scans every few moments. So you get short changed if you aren't traveling in a straight line.
For sure, and half the time my GPS doesn't even work, so it's infuriating. I've done two 2-3 mile walks this week with my lab outside to the park and back and they haven't even registered AT ALL. Which is so so aggravating.
I saw a pretty solid testing on the GPS. A guy did some serious runs around Brooklyn and Manhattan to hatch the eggs and the results revealed a lot but showed it to be hella flawed. He did a bunch of 10 mile runs and one 10km egg never hatched, WTF. He slowed his speed down to jogging and walking and it did help. And once he cut out all the turns and zigzagging it helped more. So it really seems time based. Like how far did you move in 5 mins and if you went to fast it won't register. If you went from point A to B to C it cuts point B to make a straight line from A to C. Again hella flawed.
I can incubate a 2k egg when I get to work, and it'll hatch before I leave having walked no more than to the other side of the office a few times. Duder just wanders around the map all day long. Same thing at the Pokébar.
it takes me like a week to hatch an egg lol (even a 2k). working 7 days a week now which means even more sitting in a square station
The bar my buddy and I found that you can hit 5 different Pokéstops from. Pokédrinking? has become a common text both sent and received as of late.
Ha! That's great! The most stops I have found is three with a fourth and fifth just right out side of range. When you shift to try and add one, one of the others drops out of range. It's still great though because it is in a nice park! There are six stops in Minneapolis that are perfectly lined up! I think I heard Niantic shut it down.
The smaller college near us has about 30 pokestops in it, and you just file in line with every other car driving 10mph through the campus hitting every stop lol It also has like 5 gyms as well and someone always has at least 5 lures up and going
Our college is the same. They are kinda strict about cars. So you have to walk. I prefer our downtown area by the city center and river walk. Lots of pokestops! I prefer to just camp a spot and pop lures and not move! I am quite lazy.
I'm still having trouble getting my boyfriend to a populated area so we can do some real Pokemon catching. :[ Maybe this weekend...
I've noticed I've had to reenter my login info quite a bit recently and I found a new one. Sometimes, out of nowhere, I'll go to throw a pokeball and then it literally flies off screen and it just disappears into the distance. Luckily it's only happened on regular pokeballs so far.
