Smog King looks awesome in vinyl. Can't wait to see what color vinyl this will be first and what it will look like painted. I'll love to see this guy in GID. The red painted Oil Shock is very tempting too.
I'm so stoked this is getting made. This is easily my favorite Elegab toy being made, I'm hoping for some super super wild colors
This just excites me all over again like when I first started collecting Elegab. i second what Rich said. Some wild colors would be great (clear purple for me .) Another classic Nari face just knocks me out. Some little mini factory's to sit around him would be cool.
Hell yes! Great interpretation to vinyl. I see the cool little chest detail made it into the sculpt. And the claws seem to fit in better on the sculpt than on the drawing.
Oh man, that would be fantastic! I'd also love to see bright metallics on black or brown vinyl, but GID would be my first choice.
I was thinking the exact same thing. The second face is definitely more scary looking. Seems this actual sculpted face is different from both illustrations. All in all though this is my favorite Elegab sculpt so far and cant wait for the release. A new smog pollution monster is usually a good thing to me
For sure! As currently constructed this is just below Tonneran for me (my favorite Elegab). Though if the face were retooled it could be my favorite.
I haven't liked the last 3 figures. I can't exactly put my finger on it. The characters are a little too goofy for my tastes, but that's not 100% it. I think it's the stance, they look awkward with the arms out, especially that oil spill the arms are so long and the bend at the elbow... This one's better, but eventually a pose like that just seems like a gimmick or something I'd get tired of after a couple weeks of looking at it. I get they might look more animated like this. I guess I just like my toys in the standard upright arms hanging at side position. Makes for more playability and a tightly packed shelf.
It's obviously a taste thing, but I specifically like that Elegab figures are NOT in the traditional 'straight' pose. I think it gives them much more character and individuality, and adds to their play value, because they look a little more 'in action'. It does make them tougher on a shelf tho...
looks like pills doesn't it? hehe. they are supposed to be smoke stacks though, you can see a little bit of smog coming out of them.
