I like both versions, and can't really say I like one better than the other because they are so different. I like the "geoduck" neck on the first one, and the upwards running liquid would make for an interesting sculpt. I also think that the face fits with the other Elegab toys better - but I really like the new face too (I think I like it more, even if it doesn't fit as well with the Elegab aesthetic). And that little detail on the chest of the new drawing will be interesting to see on the toy. A problem I can see with the new one would be that it's face is looking down, which will make it harder to see on most shelves - the older one is looking up and would probably display better.
Did anyone else who ordered anything from Elegab [in my case the newest Puppet Seijin] get little mini figures in their order? They are cool as hell and I was wondering how many types there are and why this time [I have ordered a lot from them without free minis included] I would have obtained them. Any info?
I was just posting this. Then refrained before I hit submit. Get a white piece of paper and hold it behind them. Or at least put a shirt on.
I really really really really hope this guy gets made, it will probably be my toy of 2010. Its always seems though that he sculpts up 2 figures and chooses the other one. Please toy gods let this be made !
I'm really unimpressed with the painted versions. They seem really random to me. The orange vinyl by itself is beautiful! However, I'm still puzzled by the color choices all around. I really hope we get a brown or black vinyl version of this guy with some metallic spray!
Looks like Oil shock turn out to be a great toy! It has the flavor of a vintage. More straight-up kaiju than Tonneran which I thought was a little more whimsical?
And again it's not lottery, but made to order . This is the best thing to do, Nari san, keep them coming this way !
I think that sums up my reaction perfectly. I kinda love this sculpt...very fun, very monsterous! I'm looking forward to more colorways of this guy (and praying for glow, of course!).
Must own...now. PS - I agree, let's stick with photos of the figures, keep other photos for facebook...
Now. BTW Do you think this hand-ship will ever get made? Has anyone ever seen an image of a vehicle for the hero before?
Oil Shock looks fantastic... red painted for me, and I cannot wait! The Orange is cool because it sort of looks like the color of the tar balls they're picking out of the Gulf, but I like the overall colors on the red better.
Both are nice, but went with the orange painted. Agree with Choon, the orange has a vintage vibe to it.
