this is AMAZING! while i have been a fortunate recipient of on of his "gift" runs sadly it was not this one. jealous for sure...enjoy!

All of these great Kumon shots really got to me! All of oyu are bad influuences!

I broke down and shelled out for a big fella. I'lll post a photo when he arrives.

After a bad deal on a big blue fella, I did the most sensible thing. I ordered these!

 

I got the opportunity to buy this 2018 mailing list sample Kumon through a friend the other day. Couldn't pass it up. Looks to be the same pink/GID marble base as the open run Kumon/Nekomata sets, with blue, gold and purple sprays. I wasn't sure how I'd like this one originally, as it uses a similar palette to the 'Retinal Scarring' hot pink/purple/blue Kumon, which didn't do much for me. But the subtler use of metallics and matte blue on this release won me over.

@zindabad Congratulations on this new Score T, it looks just amazing. I had already seen this particular version in photos but had no idea that the paint job was done on a Hot Pink marbled version, but with the back photo you can see the faint marbling of the vinyl. Thanks for sharing these great shots!

 

This one has always fascinated me. And though I don’t own it, I’m glad I was able to handle it for a photo.

It took me some time to find the last variant that I was missing from the 2015 Halloween Kumon version (the all orange glitter one), but I was finally able to complete the kumon evolution . The first one from left to right (only has black glitter with solid orange and black vinyl), the next two (that have mixed black and orange glitter with orange and black solid vinyl), and finally the all orange glitter.

I have decided to dedicate an entire showcase to these beautiful spiders that we like so much and that give us so much happiness.
It is a small tribute to Shirahama Toy.

Awesome display! I especially love the Kumon in the pumpkin bucket!

I'm too late to the game to reasonably try to collect these, but that purple and gold one in the middle of the first pic is sharp.

 

I think that is one of the rarest versions, if not the rarest, out of all of those

@ultrakaiju Thank you very much Steve, these spiders are one of those toys that I never tire of admiring and that whenever I turn to see them, they continue to give me the same happiness as the first time.
@Horsefeathers, @Russblue11 thank you guys! As far as I know, the purple and gold Kumon was not a regular run, rather it was something that Dennis did together with a couple of friends, as for the Kumon in the pumpkin bucket, from what Dennis once mentioned, it is a test shot (has only black glitter, orange and black solids) before the regular run for the Halloween version at that year, apparently there are only four of these pieces, one is owned by Dennis and there must be another two in the wild.
