Travelers. I painted the micro from this years lucky bag, and Microman John is a new addition to my collection.
It’s tough to see, but I put wires in the arms in legs to give the clear parts a bit more to them. I’ll be honest though, I kinda hate painting those vendorbots. They’re more of a pain I the ass then they should be, considering their size and design.
It pains me to see somebody let go of such a great group of toys (i'm assuming that's what happened as they all appeared on the same day) - and was even more heartbreaking to have the chance to buy a couple of grails but choosing to let them sit there. As much as I would love to have the opaque pink base hawaiian Hedo and the blank pink/flesh in my collection but I just couldn't justify the converted price tag of $300 AUD each for these. Hopefully they end up in a good collection.
I missed the unpainted GID again! I was tempted by some of the Bwana sets with the headers and prints included... surprisingly hard to find these with everything intact.
Yeah I saw those and was like “damn.” I hd already missed the ones I would have snagged but it was still a shocker to see all those at once.
I was shocked when these popped up. Thanks to some board members for DMing me because my Mandarake search did not email me very quickly. Was able to snag one, very grateful and happy! Only a few more to find!
think you can update us in this thread with a photo of the collwction? Maybe a Congo line picture perhaps?
I remember when contemplating to buy this one I was thinking "damn I hope someone like Hank grabs this".. Does it come with the eye discs to glue in?
It’s a bad picture, discs are in the eyes. The quality is fantastic. I was nervous but it’s clearly been in someone’s closet or bins for a long time.
All of those are super lovely but the unpainted yellow really stands out! That and the camo (obviously) are definitely my favorites. Sick crew!
Thanks! The unpainted yellow was the find of a life time. I can’t recall all the details but I remember it being a pretty hefty trade. Opening that thing was wild.
