Fuck loose laws around guns!


We have a mess because the market has made it substantially more important to produce profit than educate its consumers. It's so disheartening to hear arguments that conflate rights with correct handling legislation and dissemination.

 

Religion, guns, and politics shouldn't be discussed on this board... too many get butt hurt and it just becomes bad...

 

I'm currently working in a pop-up shop full of maybe 80% Funko product.. and 80% of customer enquiries are for fucking Baby Groot so fuck my life

Actually no. Embrace the weirdness. We've all be vilified for collecting stuff that sits on a shelf. I would much rather COLLECT shit that makes me/you/us happy then be one of those people that judges.

 

Amen. I've paid for shit I'm sure no one else would. Too many of these fuckers (you know who you are cause you'll be stuck in your feelings after this...) chase for the hype not for the like. If there's no hype they are ready to sell, or no interest.

 

Fully agreed, Mike. At this point, because of Instagram, I equate hype and likes to being the same thing. I legitimately believe a lot of "collectors" would stop collecting if they were barred from *ever* posting or showing off their comeuppance, 'cause there's no point to them without the gratification. That's my opinion, of course. I know plenty of legitimate collectors that don't show off anything, but have great and varied toys in their homes. I'm happy majority of my favorites are toys maybe three or four people care about. But! None of this is to say that artists that have lots of attention surrounding their work isn't warranted, of course.

 

I say let funco continue to push garbage out to distract the masses from the gold that we all want so there is better chances of us getting the pieces we desire

I know people that collect them and consider it some sort of economic investment because they have "rare" SDCC exclusives.

I must admit, I do feel sour as shit when some of these LA trust fund kids either 1) win every lotto they enter or 2) have so much liquid cash they're willing to spend the money just to have a more "elite" collection. MVH test paints, nags out the ying yang, come the fuck on.

I think the ouch is because we, man or woman, are not trying hard enough to be something better and they just brought it to our attention.

 

Fuckin' tell me about it. My family would make for some great reality TV, or at least a sitcom adaptation.
That's why Jon and I are already planning to move in with his dad down in Delaware. I can't take much more of this. Over the past 7+ years we've been together, I went from a happy and productive artist-in-the-making that was only on antidepressants, to a miserable wreck with migraines, depression relapses, anxiety attacks, PTSD nightmares, hypothyroidism, and awful insomnia on 5 different medications. I really think most of it can be attributed to my family. I'm a really laid-back yet spontaneous person, and the rest of my family are a mix of high-tension personalities, obsessive-compulsive planners, narcissists, materialists that live beyond their means, and casual liars.
It's going to be nice to be able to start rebuilding my life away from it all, and sharing a residence with people who share the same personality traits as me... you know, rather than constantly butting heads about stupid shit.

There's a dummy image for all my posts that exclaim my account no longer supports third party posting, and that I need to visit X link to upgrade my account. Upon going to said link, Photobucket says they are now charging $40 a month, or $400 a year, to allow third party posting, as well as some other "features". Any PB user is basically blackmailed into paying, or not having any of their images restored onto forums. So fuck that. I'm downloading my library and burning my account to the ground.

If anyone can recommend me a solid photo hosting site(not imgur), that, allows third party hosting, as well as a private account, I'd very much appreciate it.

 

@ultrakaiju Thank you, Steve. I appreciate both the expressed sentiment for my frustration, as well as the suggestion. Google Photos would be ideal, should they offer a similar service. I'll look into that ASAP. It's just incredibly irritating that so many photos I've shared here are painted with that ridiculous dummy image now. Having to go back, reuplaod, search/delete and repost new links...oh, boy.

 

Fuck lymph nodes and 4th of July. I have to wait out the holiday to get an appointment for biopsy for the mass that developed under my left armpit over the past month. Had to endure a forced male mammogram and ultrasound yesterday. Doctors: could be just an inflammed lymph node or something more serious like lymphonic cancer, but we don't know at the very least you're going to need to get the lymph node removed. So surgery is in my future regardless. Great. Seriously why not, because my life just keeps getting better by the day.

Thanks Paul. Scheduled the biopsy this morning. They wanted to give me the 24th but I had them bump it up to the 13th in another office. Just want to know- that's all! This whole "could be this or something more serious" has me a bit freaked out as I tend to always go to worst case scenario. Here's hoping it's just a infected node that needs to be removed- kind of like a bad fuse lol.

Waiting is a I FART A LOT in the short run, but affects all the overall long run!
