Agreed on not deleting posts but be careful of 'over-moderating'. Not saying you guys are consistantly doing this at all, in fact no real complaints from me on what you've been doing so far as mods, its just that thread did not seem worthy of a lockdown (unless I missed something) in the last page or two. Sam Dewitt thread correct? Lockdown, at least to me, would be for threads that go on for two or more pages of insults and personal attacks after parties were warned within the thread (and via pm). Maybe this is just preemptive moderating and is just what this board calls for these days, but I've seen and been involved in much worse here. Point being is everyone can have a moody senstive day (I've had my share I'm not proud of for sure). Just an opinion no jabs at you both intended at all.

 

There was a lady talking on the phone for most of the duration of an outdoor orchestral concert. Even through everyone turning to glare at her. Fuck her!

 

So tired of this. There are people that actually think it's some sort of FAN conspiracy. It's happened numerous times. People need justification for shitty behavior so take it out on maker-X.

I think I may be partially to blame for the last FU shut down. I asked moderators to step in because one member tends to bait and attack. He is ruthless but it is all fear based with a hyper sense of 'the other'. Rather than reading through the threads and seeing where this person was consistent on baiting many people over time they just shut it down. They must have spoken well to him though as he has been quiet here and only tried to bait once about 5 pages back. If he is managing self moderation I applaud him.

Otherwise this is a great thread.

My main FU was to him directly cause he pretty much attacked this entire board for exactly what it's here for. We enjoy weird creepy things. And he attacks us as Men who love Monsters... first there are women here although they are the minority's, they are here... hell he even attacked Kay about her chest. By stopping himself with ... and not actually saying it does not mean it didn't happen... we all are intelligent enough to know where he was going with that (you finish the sentence). It's over the line. This dude has a history of being drama... he decides to migrate over from KR cause I bet you his exposure/influence or dare I even say popularity dried up.

Trolls like him come and go... the core here will get past the troll and continue on. @xSuicide Squadx Have you heard of the movie theater chain Alamo Drafthouse, based in Austin TX? They will kick your ass out out for talking, texting, etc. No refunds, no excuses.
Alamo Drafthouse has expanded across the U.S. and there's one in Chandler, and a new location opening in Phoenix end of this year.

The movie theater culture in LA is not very respectful either, I've spent $18.00 to see a film at Arclight and people are on phones.

Icon cinema in ABQ does that too, went to the movies when we were there for the PK show early this year, their trailers before the movie about this were super direct and pretty funny.

 

I haven't heard of this theater, but I wish this type of enforcement would be implemented more often! Happened years and years ago, but I got into throwin' blows with some dude 'cause I politely asked him and his lady to quiet down, but wasn't so polite on the third, and swung on me. If you're talkers, wait until movies hit home media for that chatty shit.

 

Vapdee definitely needs to be banned - I didn't catch onto the Kay comment but that's fucked. He also had a weird threat like comment where he referred to me by my initials (I'm only known as Glenn here) and then somehow listed a bunch of my friends here in Australia. Entering stalker territory there..

 

Yea sexual harassment should be an immediate ban... there are so few female collectors on here as it is, we don't need to make it any more uncomfortable or unwelcoming for them than it already is.

Your collection probably means shit to most of us here. You don't even collect what we do yet you're here. Why? Because KR heads wouldn't listen or give 2 shits? Nobody here is going to listen to you either or confide to your bill of rights errrr dictatorship that you are attempting to shove down our throats. It's actually laughable that you think you can get artists, galleries, web stores, etc to actually use your lotto pitch. None of the old guard is going to take you serious because honestly things work here fine the way they are... we police ourselves. We out the flippers and put them in the corners ourselves, trust we don't need your help for anything. Unless you want to do us a favor by logging out and never returning, probably the only thing I can see of use for you as of now.

 

And to be honest I think it's best we don't feed the troll, clearly something is unstable in the individual. He'll end up getting himself banned with his antics. So need to take his bait.
