Down here in the swamps of South Georgia is always an option. You won’t have to worry about flippers either, because no one wants to come here! Just goofin. #amstuckinalbany #myvoteiskaijucult
I said it before and I'll say it again... Midway between the coasts! Y'all can rumble on neutral ground.
Traffic can't be any more fucked than LA (can it?)... Speaking of Uber, I still owe you a beer (or 12) Honestly, not at all opposed to hitting ATL for a toy con/hang deal. Any chance to get closer to the equator is a good one (not even Dec yet and already over the damn cold). Would be great to see you Lee/Mike. You were missed at Dcon. Side note: @toothaction Michigan is nice too. But as Andy said, the MI (or anywhere in the midwest) would be a hard sell for the travelers... even with your newly adopted recreational status.
Having just been to LA, ATL traffic ain't nothin' comparatively. The event is gonna be on a Saturday evening, not rush hour on a Tuesday. And if anyone wants to prep their travel plans, the next Kaiju Cult will be on April 20th near Grant Park. But to @Michael Beverage's point, you definitely need a vehicle (Uber, Lyft, rental, bear on a bicycle)
HELL MUTHAF**KIN YAY-YA Also, possessing small amounts of them fresh glossy greens in the city of Atlanta is now tantamount to getting a speeding ticket... not decriminalized per se, but certainly not scrutinized by cops.
Finally having experienced the Atlanta airport, I have to say that place is HUGE. It has its own subway system...sort of. Pretty incredible.
It's getting to be that time of year, my peoples. I did not get the VIP, considering the fact it was $30 more just for the friday... all this shit should just be on saturday/sunday. Who's going? what you bringing? what you trying to cop? wanna chill?
Definitely going for every minute of it, although this may be my last rodeo, as the sultans of sofubi appear to be heading towards other pastures.
@Paulkaiju and Headlock Studio are the only reasons I’m goin’ this year, outside of obviously hangin’ with friends. Hopin’ @JoeMan makes any type of appearance as well.
Definitely excited for the master Paul Kaiju, and Headlock Studio. Hoping for Joe and Michael. Maybe Zollmen again? Absolutely Lulubell! Seems a bit early 2 get super amped up for this, but I definitely am.
@patrickvaz I think he’s got a lot comin’ his and the missus’ way with the baby announcement! But we can always be hopeful. Family first! Totally spaced on the Lazer of Dracu persuasion bein’ there, so that’d be a gnarly return! And it’s not too far off. Just a couple months!
We'll be there with a booth again. Little smaller size booth this year but lots of good stuff planned. That's most likely where you'll see me if I'm not running around for a toy release. I'm surprised the map hasn't been posted as vendors just got their booth numbers, we are booth TD3.
One of the big complaints people had was the amount of stuff sold to VIPs with some artists being cleared out before Saturday. Saturday and Sunday were comparatively dead to Friday last year. I had a fantastic time last year but I'm gonna pass. Flying across the country ain't cheap and with so many artists dropping out it's hard to justify.
heres the map http://www.expocad.com/host/fx/designercon/dcon19/ looks like m1 will be there this year and punk drunkers will be returning with no realxhead still a lot of booths left going off that map
Wow... I see alot of dudes not rolling through this year on the map. 5 points seemed more loaded with vinyl dudes. Maybe I'm just overwhelmed by that DCON map.
There were a lot of complaints last year. Too big. Rising booth prices. Not easily accessible. Staff was rude. More expensive area to stay and eat. Parking was outrageous. VIP bullshit. Backroom deals...
