@hellointerloper I was put onto this information in the days of the Mimi Monster. And to be fair, I’m sure the sculptor(s) and painter(s) are compensated well for the work. I’m not at all opposed to being proven wrong and shown that Tan does some, if not all the work with his toys!

I like that garbagetoyyyyyy (give or take a few “y”s) is at least self-aware. That is literally a garbage fox. At the same time I think it’s fucking hilarious. I almost wonder if they’re trying to conduct a social experiment to see if people will buy absolute shit, just as long as there’s hype and a huge price tag.

Seeing all the brand-based stuff bores me. It’s like wow, another iteration of Burger Boy. How original. But wait, he has half of another head, that makes it cool, right??

I can’t distinguish details, it looks like a fucking mess. I also can’t believe this person thought “well my pile of turd is super special, I have to make a special packing box too.” Of all the things that need special packaging, this is not it.

I do not like dissection baby. That thing has a puppet mouth and I’m thoroughly creeped out by that. Otherwise I just see a huge lack of color theory and overly detailed shit. I will say though, my first reaction to the mermaid was a giggle. Wouldn’t ever buy it, but I think it’s kind of funny.

The back spikes remind me of candy, and not in a good way. It makes me feel like the whole paint job would be sticky.

 

But when Pushead does this shit it’s somehow worth secret shows and special clubs. Pfft. I see no difference, personally. I can *kinda* appreciate the aesthetic when the Godesu sits against the backdrop, but on its own it’s for sure a kindergartener project.
