Yeah, it looks like a walking pickle with an arsehole for a mouth.

I was gonna call him Butt Boy but that is WAY better.

I don’t know, I kinda think he’s cute in his own lumpy way. Not a sculpt I’d collect but ehh, not the worst.

Yeah, he's actually got some charm compared to most of the stuff on this thread.

The 3D sculpting is so obvious on this. The texture is uniformly lumpy. It’s really smooth and not very detailed, and then we have a more detailed anus mouth thrown onto it. Just all kinds of blegh to me.

Didn’t Secret Bass also make a human centipede toy?

@JoeMan They did. I was trying to find an image of it but I couldn’t remember what they’re called, until I remembered it was done with Cure Toy and found it on U.O.’s IG.

Some things do not need to be made into toys.

Subject matter aside, that SB sculpt is terrible, which is unusual because typically even if an SB toy isn’t my thing, the sculpting is very good.

Maybe They will pick up the 2 Girls 1 cup license next.

I'm still happy to say that I have never watched 2 girls 1 cup or human centipede.

I mean, The Human Centipede was a trash movie so I can’t expect toys made from it to be any better. I think it was just an easy sell to capitalize on the contrived controversy it creates. I just want some goddamn painted runs of original SB fighters and Obake Dogs.

Not that I like it one bit (these toys are trying way too hard, and are boring because of it), but are these makers really using the swastika as a nazi symbol, or is it an ancient religion reference?

@rattanicus I think it’s potentially subjective per artist. The Buddhist swastika is still heavily prevalent in a lot of Japanese architecture, both classical and modern. I do think if these artists wanted to be controversial they’d just blatantly use some Hitler bullshit that’s been done before. I’m admittedly not as bothered by the religious reference, but it would prompt me to ask the artist about it, if given the chance.

The one on its belly is technically the Buddhist version (the Nazi version is flipped and rotated slightly) but im always suspicious the toy maker is just trying to be edgy.

That article above was interesting. I didnt know Hitler never referred to the symbol as a 'swastika', to him it was a 'hooked cross'.

That toy is garbage just Bc of that symbol. Regardless of its historicity, at this point in time it is obvious what reference it stands to garner.

much like red caps with white text have been reduced to one thing, or red armbands with white circles on them

PLEASE just stop redoing existing properties for a minute!! i pray every night for a full year of no new unofficial hedorah matango garamon rips.

i understand producing a figure is expensive and that this is a safe way to guarantee some sales but maybe...maybe no one is holding a gun to your head to make a toy...

if you cant bet on your designs then maybe its not the right time to produce it.

But this one has a swastika on it. Doesn't that make all the more desirable?

lematoy has no problem moving those toys.
Tons of makers don’t care about IP. They’re going to make toys in relation of success. At to that, success and taste are subjective.

Why buy toys, when you can make em? And looking at trends this year the big ones are...
    Ed Roth, Mushrooms, kewpies, Hedorahs...

Anyone who has a couple grand in start up can make a toy and break even... and, if they can turn 10% profit, they’re gonna keep making work.
People will go where the money is and, that’s with treads and disrupters.

The only art that isn’t derivative is made by people who live in microcosms, away from the internet.

I’m not offended by Asians using the left facing swastika. As convoluted as it can become, I don’t expect people half a world away to understand the world like I do.
