Back in the day I did exactly the same with Perfect Dark for the N64 ... I loved that game but the final boss always won. It was so frustrating, but i can't deny the fun i had up to that point. I think the same thing happened to me with Paper Mario, another game that I dearly loved, but never completed, i fell at the last hurdle!
Picked up Persona 5 again. Dang, what a masterpiece of a J-RPG. really digging the music and all the scheduling involved. If only i could be this organized in my real life ;___;
been a bit obsessed with slay the spire. It was free last month on playstation. Such a good game. And a play through can be just a couple of hours.
I loved that game but got stuck with one boss and stopped. I miss it tough. Might give it another try. I loved the atmosphere and different environments.
Such a great game. Well except for the visual presentation maybe. I have several hundred hours sunk in the game but never even got close to killing the actual final boss.
Alright, started to play again. Yesterday I passed the Hornet, didn’t die once, not an issue at all. Since i first tried the game, I finished 3 FromSoftware games, it shows. I’m super happy to be back into this world. Thanks for reminding me it existed !
Yeah, The Thousand Year Door. I didn't even reach that boss in the video. I can't remember what stumped me in the end. I just remember reaching a point where something kept kicking my arse. Its a great game though, I still have it and my old game cube. Maybe I should try it again, all these years later.
@The Moog We initially bought the game for our children but in reality we played it more, we were so addicted that if we had to go out to do something we turned off the TV and paused the game to return and continue playing, of course that obsession paid off and in the end we were able to finish the game.
I just started playing Diablo Immortal on my iPad, it’s pretty fucking awesome for a mobile game. Well done Blizzard! It’s very similar to Diablo for a console, I haven’t tried playing it with a Bluetooth controller yet. Since I just contracted Covid in the past 48 hours, I would imagine I’ll be playing it for a couple days nonstop while I recover. https://apps.apple.com/us/app/diablo-immortal/id1492005122
I bought 'Worms WMD' for the Switch in a digital sale the other day. As a fan from way back, my faves were always 'Worms Armageddon' and 'World Party' but WMD takes the core gameplay and improves on the graphics, physics and amount of extra missions etc. It plays great handheld and i'm impressed with this newer revamped version overall. They've kept the humour intact too, which was always a big part of Worms. Banana bomb, anyone? Holy Hand Grenade?!
@The Moog My god - the hours I poured into Worms World Party. Such a classic! Your post just reminded me that I bought W.M.D. on sale a year or so ago and have yet to even try. Looking forward to playing and glad to hear the humor is still intact.
Worms Armageddon was sooo good. I ve not played any Worms since. I somehow link worms to Lemmings in my head. I miss Lemmings.
Yeah, and 'The Humans', pretty much the same gameplay as Lemmings but set in prehistoric times. My mate had it on his Amiga. They've taken advantage of the extra processing power and added things that purists probably dislike, but I'm digging 'em so far. Vehicles you can drive including tanks and a helicopter, buildings you can enter for tactical advantage or cover, static gun/mortor/sniper emplacements. You're also supposed to be able to modify/combine some of your weaponry ... I think it all fits with the core gameplay nicely. The arsenal of weapons has quite a few additions too, like Sheep on a rope! ...i can't wait to try that one out. Fucking hilarious!
