Not trying to clutter or start redundant threads, but lets be honest with the vintage forum oasis here: Not many vintage people wander far from it. I could post these in the regular outdoor thread but most of you would never see them. Now probably not many vintage guys take their priceless toys out for a day in the park, but I'm so fucking happy school is out I brought some friends to the park with me. I'm a little rusty taking outdoor shots so bear with me, they'll get better! Anyhow post your outdoor vintage shots:
Cool idea Lixx, and excellent photos - you are being far too critical. I don't know that I have any saved outdoor pics with vintage stuff, but I will definitely aim to take some more now. And I know I have seen several other great pic from people on this board that will fit here.
Vintage grails exposed to the elements, rather than being kept inside museum display cases and never touched = banned. All privileges revoked and you relinquish ownership to me.
LOL Hey, I'm just doing what they were meant for! (The playing part...not the adult nerd taking photographs of toys he could never have as a child in a misguided attempt to recover his childhood...part.)
Thats a great Daimajin shot sanjeev. Heres a few I took recently. Natural light just makes colors look so much brighter.
Thanks. I keep thinking I want to get a shot of him in the shadows since he's a bat but I'm a shy public toy photographer and living in the city in an apartment does not help (no yard). Probably be a hard shot. I also had a great idea for a pic of the Giant Ultraseven walking (posed) with the sun and sky in the background, but whipping out a 15 inch toy in public for photographing is a hard sell in my mind.
Great figures and really nice photos Lixx. I am loving the way these look in the outdoors. I will have to take some of my own toys on a walk to the park one of these days. You are right though, it is certainly easier with minis!
Yeah shamefully I never knew who Casshern was till I spied one of Jim's (vintagevinyl) photos. Once I saw him though I had to find myself an assortment of sizes. Reminds me of a cross btw Gatchaman and somebody else. Pretty cheap as far as heroes go. I like the classic raised hands pose of this boot, great for photos... This Iron King reminds me of Mr. Bill for some reason
Christ on a tricycle that one hot vintage piece of vinyl Sanjeev! Super jealous. Glad to see he got some nice outdoor lighting to show off all the beauty.
Thankee, thankee...I woulda stayed out longer and gotten more/different shots, but the mosquitoes were in full force.
^^Excellent, Ralph! Awesome toy...even for pets! (Seriously, don't let him get in the habit of gnawing on Abura! )
