Where might one find these BEMON at "retail price" or less? I was under the impression official sales were being conducted strictly via auction for quite some time now (and those rarely end below 80,000yen).
Again…flipper prices and you need to be on a list for cost. Anraku was no different when I was on the “list”.
GORETSUMAKYOU BANDRGE. It's cool that Utsugiyo can do his own art without being pressured by the size, theme or articulation of the current popular figures on the market. This set is definitely a fresh breath of air after the market being flooded with all the other copycat robot sofubi toys that people have been throwing their money at. The oni figures on this set are obviously nice(I especially like the drummer). But the diorama band stage is super well done and the paint really brings out the details. It's also cool that it comes in two colors. PSYCHE has cool modern sofubi colors and the GIG comes with the more 80s anime x tokosatsu color. Good to see some activity in the Utsugiyo forum.
@JoeMan That’s Kriminal Design’s website. Those are the dudes that print and sell Honda’s clothing, as well as their own lines K.V.L.T. and Only13, Prince Jose and Tome. They’ve previously sold some toys online to Japanese residents only, too.
Yep, I’ve never seen a two head or kougai go up there. Not to say they haven’t the listings could just be gone. But those are the retail prices on the other sculpts.
Oh, my B!!! I didn’t know you were demonstrating the retail prices. I saw the mention of bootlegging and Bemon, and thought it was tied to that portion of the convo. I’ve never seen any 2HB on there either, but it’s cool to see retail prices for Space Monster, Sea Monster and even a lot of the hoodies and tees.
I remember coming across that site a few times in the past (and checking it religiously for a period even though I had an ice cube’s chance in hell of catching a drop in time, not to mention working out the kinks of an international bank transfer back then). Again, I was under the assumption sales had shifted exclusively to auction dealings in recent history, or at least I thought I remembered that having been discussed here before. That’s awesome if any toys are still being offered up at lower prices to a closed group of people, I guess.
I guess those rock band sets have landed. Seeing the king crimson rip on the back of the base blew my mind. Definitely makes it about 10,000x cooler to me, which is ironic as my friend pointed out, since that’s about as much as it would cost me to own one.
Definitely feels bitter sweet watching them land. I really hope we don't have to wait two years for another release. Dogura remains my favorite sculpt, but this set is another winner for sure.
Have to agree it has greatly increased how much I enjoy looking at the set (online). I believe it also comes with a guitar pick and mini toy record as well.
It’s definitely the coolest part. I’m not a big fan of the musicians, I just don’t like the sculpts. But the paint in the bases is also great. The whole thing triggered thoughts of Interstellar 5555 when it was revealed. Maybe it was just the blue musicians.
