They are fun figures. I am waiting on the Super7 version to arrive. I wish Secret Base would do more fight figure mash ups like this.
Kudos on that Goner Ball pickup, dude. I missed that one by miles. Awaiting my Franken Ball, though, so I'm excited for its arrival. More fighters in general would be great, but mashups like this would be extra awesome.
oh wow i didn't know they did a mash up goner in the 2011 luck bag! dlux did a mash-up fight goner which is in my collection
I was looking through the TAG photos this afternoon and didn't see it. I remember the lucky bags and I thought that was the first incarnation.
I am actually not 100% positive. I traded for it right after the 2011 lucky bags came out. I was told it was from a lucky bag. The Goner on the left def came from a lucky bag.
You are probably right . . . they are a more left-field than my usual taste so didn't make a huge impression. I've seen and forgotten a lot of toys since 2011!
Yeah - no goner mash-up at the TAG show. There was the clear green Goner boogie release tho. What did get released were a few mash-ups, and more regular component combinations, that used paint apps not seen before. My guess is that they were test paints that were mashed together to make some low key show exclusives. Also in there were some ridiculously low priced loose 12" suits. A lot of these figures didnt make it onto photos as far as I recall. They were available in a floor based wire basket to pick thru! It was like a bin of 1 per person SB grails!
Curious if the base vinyl on the bodies of the fraken balls is also gid marble...? Anyone confirm? If so i might buy one to strip down...
I don't think they are. Seems like the bodies were cast in gray with the black accents painted on. I'll try and confirm it when I get home from work.
The hands are what gave me hope the body could be marble. i was guessing that the hands and body could be the same mold so possibility the same color...oh well. Dont Ban me!
