So the cat is out of the bag...TT is having a special event for Halloween where Hiddy is sure to bring surprises for those who show up. October 29th from 6 to 9 p.m... The event details are on the blog at toytokyo.com... I wish I could know for sure what would be there...so we are all going to be surprised...even those of behind the scenes... come one, come all... lalon
Hooray for the East Coasters - finally some love - man, this should be RAD - what with Balzac and teh Misfits playing in town - its sure to be an amazing Halloween. Of course, if anyone wants to hook me up....heh heh...but apart fomr that - this sounds AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm going to do everything in my power to go to this thing... Amazifying! Hiddy! Are "The Misfits" really playing or is it that Punk Rock oldies cover band with Jerry Only, Dez Cadena, and the Bass player from the Ramones from the late 80's?
yes...something on the east coast...boo...it's a monday! edit: we need another secret call in number to toy tokyo.
The Misfits disbanded in 1983 as far as I was ever concerned, so I'd say NO they're NOT playing. It's a balding, sad man who hasn't moved on in life playing and some other dudes.
Oddly enough my good friend is getting married on Nov 3rd by none other than JImmy Gestapo (singer of Murphy's Law)
from what I understand the beef now lays between doyle and jerry and not old ziggy. maybe skullstar can add to this? doyle is pissed because jerry ran their familys business into the ground.
I'm only asking because I buddy of mine here at work in San Diego said he got tickets only because Danzig was singing. By the way,everytime I see this I still laugh;
hey its totally possible. danzig cant keep away as much as he tries. and it is jerrys wet dream to do so...who knows everything I see this I still laugh...
I'm in the minority as I don't give a rat's ass about the Misfits. I really enjoyed seeing Danzig get knocked cold by a fat guy from a supporting act after Danzig puffed up like he wanted to fight. Now thats entertainment. Going to consider skipping work and spending the day in NYC for this event, its a huge pita but worth it, maybe take the train up or something.
