I need to create a wanted thread and work towards a few old vintage things I’ll probably never get.

Also want to start doing more shows in NY.

I have been selling all my LEGO over the last many years to help fund this hobby. There is indeed quite an active market. I said goodbye to the AT-AT a few months ago. -_-

Last year goal was to not buy any toy. I bought 3, which is pretty good.
This year main goal unfortunately is still the same. I already bought one, so it’s going to be tricky to do better than last year.
I want to get rid out of all the toys I don’t display or don’t really like.
I also wand to look into better displaying the ones I have and want to keep.
Best thing I could do is to go through my Belgian toy collection sell or move it here. I would be very happy with myself if I managed that one.

I got one cabinet wired up with lights this weekend, and I'm pretty excited with the results. The toys are not a final arrangement. Just needed to get them put up for the work week. Only three more cabinets to go. Yikes!

I used these new Strimsav lights. I like that they come with a diffusion lens. The led strip lights seem harsh to me. My kid has them in their room, and I can't handle the glare for long.

I love a nicely jam packed shelf! Looks great. Going to have to go over this with a fine toothed comb on my lunch break to truly appreciate it!

I'm considering doing all my shelves as a well ordered jumble rather than putting like with like, but I also really want to display some of my sub-collections all together. Like the baby coin banks that are mostly on the bottom shelf here. Still making up my mind. I used stock risers here, but will need to make some more specialized ones if I want to group stuff based on size.

Looks fantastic! Is there enough room for the cords if there were 2 pucks per shelf?

I think that you'd have to add your own holes for the cords. I routed the wires through the holes at the top. There are two holes at to top of the Milsbo and they each fit two wires. The connector where the wire fits into the puck is slightly wider than the wire. It took some fiddling just to get two threaded through.

thanks for sharing blake! i'm now eyeing up those lights for my milsbo...wish they could be daisy-chained, but i guess a surge protector/power strip will have to do!

I got a 4 port usb hub, plugged the four lights into the hub, and then plugged the hub usb into the power plug. So just one two prong plug for 4 lights. I can't guarantee this will work long term, but I think the amount of power involved is low enough that the hub should not burn out.

I also needed a short usb extender for the puck on the bottom most shelf. The cord was not quite long enough to route the whole way.

There's almost certainly better ways. This is just what I figured out.

Getting some blanks painted - goal achieved!

Last year I found a set of 9 M1-Go ultra minis on blank flesh vinyl. @JMRampage put out a call for custom work, and was game to paint up all 9. I really like the balance of tight paint applications with spray details. I also like that the paint applications tend to match standard size versions of the figures.

Thanks so much Jon! I think Mongular and Dada are my favorites.

We are about to enter May and wow this is slower than we anticipated. We've un-bagged and moved a lot of our collection to the downstairs area. So our displays are spread out in our master bedroom, my office/toy room and now downstairs.

Downstairs we have set up MVH, Pushead, more Paul Kaiju, Gargamel (hell yeah!), Cometdebris. We just have a half shelf that we need to fill and I claimed it for KAWAII so it will have Itokin Park and Konatsuya. I wanted to squeeze in my Uamou toys but not sure if it will fit.

What's taking us long too is the measuring and ordering of risers. We also want to replace the lighting from this OG ugly chandelier to a flush mount light ceiling fan combo. Plus across from this display we wanted to add a wall mounted book shelves for all our art books.

So it's been slow going as we are also decluttering other items at the same time. Goal is still to get ALL our toys organized and displayed.

Hope everyone is getting their goals together as we approach mid-year in June!

This year has been going very well so far. I’ve bought some toys, bid on some toys, had to let some get away… My money isn’t unlimited. Got some great toys though! I’ve also seen a lot of toys that I haven’t seen sold in years pop up. Five Points is coming, probably going to grab quite a few things and then slow down for a while.

There are 10-ish monsters that I wanted to grab for my collection. I think the price tag on these next purchases is what scared me away three years ago. I don’t plan to get all of them this year, but I’m trying to pick up one or two here-and-there. I want to put a single shelf above my desk in my office later this year too, to give me some space for new arrivals.
