From this picture one might conclude that bright colors are a thing I quite like.

I've been drawing monsters on the walls forever and nothing came of it. Disappointingly, cash works...but at least something makes a monster appear.

A standard with eyes that I like came up, and the mid size has been on my list for a while. I can't get over how versatile and ugly-handsome they are.

Discussed to death, but: the Mandarake/DHL team keeps topping itself — 36 hours or so from order placement to delivery, Japan to NY state, $12.00.

Yeah! Mandarake/DHL recently blew me away with their shipping speed.

Kinda expected their online process to be a bit slow and messy for some reason. I visited 3 of the Mandarake in Tokyo, and each sorta had it's own unique vibe. Some felt a bit more like a grungy comic shop (Shibuya) compared to the museum-like quality of others (Nakano Broadway). Just placed another order last night from the Cocoo location, so curious to find out how that will compare to the speedy order shipped out from Nakano.

Guys this Zenith toy from Rampage's sale is really changing my world right now. The sculpt and feel of it all is so immensely bizarre and awe inspiring. I feel like Flyover's Podima is maybe one that reaches a similar sense of oddity. If anyone has more info on Zenith and their artwork please do let me know!

Wow, what a beast. I can't even imagine what shipping must be like for a hefty piece of vinyl monster like that. It seems like it has been far too long since we hear from, or Zenith got a mention here. The toy was always quite the curiosity, and I think few people ever actually scored one, or at least reported so here. @zapatoloco is about the only other gent I know who adopted one of these.

@grosspustule Man, I am so envious of you over those Zollmen dudes. Long time want for me, since their first release, and always being in love with the originals. I recall many pleasant conversations on this set with Chris. I don't really collect Zollmen, but this set is probably the favourite toy for me from either them or in all the Medicom [re]releases. Stunning.

@rattanicus Love that dude!! :D Such a fun design and a really great paint job, too. Great score.

@old_seaweed Superb man. Love these fellas, and I dig (1) outdoor toy shots and (2) kaiju family shots. Hitting it on so many levels with this one. One of those big guys I keep meaning to chase for the Ultra dudes.

@rattanicus Thank YOU Rei! Emma and I appreciate your help, and Belchy couldn't have found a better home :dam:
Marvelous photos, he looks happy :D
I'm glad you opened the bag! Inspired and reminded by you, it took me 11 years to unbag this guy! Technically, yours took 12 years to unbag!:lol: Just freed yellow eyes now!

    So now, they are united!

^^^ It's very weird that the green metallic spray on the yellow eye, abruptly stops at the tummy joint. It's not just this guy either, as the ones I've seen in Mandarake's web store and JYA, all show this! It's as if the tops were painted and metallic sprayed first, and then blanks/unpainted abdomen/legs were added after the initially painting, to complete the toy.

The inner tootles color on the yellow eye (version 2), is a pale creamy purple
    [IMG]

Many thanks for the adoption Rei, hope you enjoy him for many years to come! :)

Didn't realize the base vinyl color was different as well.

Odd how back in the day, belchors were somewhat difficult to find. I guess most people hung on to theirs?

My bday present from my wife arrived today courtesy of Maxtoyco. These guys are from the Super Joyable series by PlanetXAsia. Features some pretty awesome SD versions of figures by Mechnoiz Toys, Kaiju One, and Planet X. Pretty stoked with my color selection.

I’m enjoying the boom in SD toys these past couple of years. I don’t have any, but I love seeing other folks pick ‘em up!

Edit: There’s my ignorance showing again. I thought CUBE series was something recent, but that line is at least a decade old...
