Finished my system today. Anyone else here into modular?
@Temporal Marauder no but familiar with them. my buddy has built a synthi and a buchla
That is a nice looking sound machine!
Anywhere I can hear the sounds you produce?
Wishing you a lot of fun !
Yesterday I ordered this "russian tank" (as someone referred to it on YT):
I always wanted to play one of those!
I am awash in nostalgia and envy!
Meanwhile, I'm wootling a bit

Love this, am always hunting quality subbed versions of these shows. I assume this is R1?
Put out by Diskotek for the US. It’s OOP now or very close to being so. They’ve also done the original Devilman series.
Thanks, I thought that that was this version - I recall looking to order it on Amazon eons ago. Alas, I am now in need of R2 (or zero) stuff, which tends to very hard to find, at least in English.
Hopefully it gets a Blu Ray release.
Region hacks are free, though... Whutch rockin' for DVD and Blu players?
Yeah I have tried countless ones in the last 5 or so years I have had my current player, but none has ever taken, alas.
Almost when the pandemic started I received this poster, unfortunately I could not take it to frame, since I upload some better photos of the poster already framed. What I know is that it is a Spanish poster of the movie "Super Mazinger Z" that was shown in Spain in 1979.
When I was three I had major eye surgery. The day before the surgery my mother took me to the store and I had her buy me this #mego pocket heroes #spiderman It was one of my first toys I asked for and it felt very special. The following day I had the surgery. It was a bit traumatic. I was unable to see in both eyes for a while. I remember getting a sponge bath in the hospital and holding the Spider-Man in my hand. In fact I held it pretty much as much as possible, feeling the contours and grooves. I wanted to be able to see it again. It seemed like the biggest motivation to heal. Sometimes toys are more than just toys.
What a great story, thanks for sharing it!
hey it glows in the dark and it was next to nothing.
^ Total favorite of mine! Never seen the 'toon, but that whole line has always looked like giant fun.
So, she's been with me a while, my girlfriend...
...but it was only just this afternoon that we finally decided to have a stroll in the yard.

Some excellent recent mail days for folks. @Temporal Marauder Both that Spidey and the Swamp Thing evoke a lot of good feelings for me. Simple toys, but deep pleasures. And as I think I mentioned on IG, this quote
just rings so true for me. I know some people are in this hobby (or toy collecting in general) for prestige, hype, or even investments, and that's totally cool, everyone's got their reasons. But for me so many of the best toys which I treasure the most have no intrinsic value themselves, but to me are absolutely priceless for what they mean. This really hits home, and I thank you for saying something so simple, but also so deeply resonating.
@Alebrije Wonderful poster Roger, I bet when you get this framed it will look just amazing. I, too, have a backlog of paper goods I would really like to display properly when I can. It's all about patience right now.
@toothaction I am glad your love of the newsprint still finds some ways to allow you to bring in occasional toys.
Yesterday Hardfloor's latest vinyl releases arrived in the four different colors, all signed and all four numbered 100/100.
Nice. Not sure if you or maybe @Temporal Marauder are interested, but I started an audio-centric thread you guys are welcome to geek out in over your respective kits.
Oh I thought that thread was about stereo-equipment.
Well, whatever you/the community deems fit I s'pose. Definitely not trying to be exclusionary here or anything. The whole synth and modular scene is way beyond my capacity, but I know of it by association and appreciate that it runs deep, and, short of having a separate 'make your music' thread (which, come to think of it we might actually have buried somewhere), I don't see any reason why it can't sort of fit. Besides which, it mostly seems to be me rambling to myself so far.
Trying to find the toys I had as a 3-5 year old. These Corgi guys are in great shape and got a deal on them. They are definitely smaller than I remember tho!!
Yeah those are classic, i have a couple of the batmobile in various condition, and a bigger version of the helicopter with a winch ..
I'm currently tracking down Penny Racers that I had when I was 11, the GID versions ..
Resin bootleg of TMNT Playmates Krang. Immaculate production, with a newly sculpted Krang. Very happy to add this to my collection!
I dreamed 30 years of this, waited 1.5 years for this and now it's here:
The B1 track is by my music-partner for 30 years and me.
We'll have a proper sake when I surprise him with this next sathurday.
