The fugliest toys you have seen while collecting.

In the best possible scenario, it was a kid repainting these, and TK is assuming most will know the difference. I'm leaning toward neither being the case. I've left out the other shots where TK is displaying all of the angles of each toy by posing them all over a stained floor.

 

There’s a recent history of sofubi weapons, between RealxHead’s Next Gun and Terrible Whore’s Bat Motherfucker, which I’ve never understood.

 

Of course it's great to try new things occasionally, but I don't get it either. Just seems the wrong material for that kind of thing.

That’s a whole lot of fugly… except for the dogman. I like dogs.

 

Got to be honest, I like the nijiyana ape thing. The others are pretty bad.

 

Kiki.shz could be a wonderful decorative piece with the right colors for me. And the kaiju_ooze cat thing just looks kinda loosely fun.

 

Same, with the right paint application I would not be mad about owning it. It gives off tokyojesus vibes

 

jiji.shz looks like a decorative flayed corpse, with additional flayed pets. The kinda of thing Dahmer wanted for his living room, but he was imagining using bones, the boring bastard. Lol.

 

Nijiyana typically rules.

When a thread like this gets more posts than anything new coming out…I would have found a new hobby by now.

 

Yeah, this has all been covered already. This is one instance where I don't recommend going back through this thread and reading up, but the typical knee-jerk reaction is "oh they're shitting on everyone"... and then you come to realize that fugly doesn't equal bad and there's a lot of nuance in here.

If we are really being honest about what this thread is, 99percent reads as Moogs Pinterest board “Toys he doesn’t like”. With that context I don’t know if you can pull out a lot of nuance. You either agree or disagree.

the reality is if you are going to act as an art critic, they typically get much more criticism and hate than the artists they critique. So if you are going to dish it out be prepared to get it back in a nastier fashion, befitting a critic.

I just happen to be the person who contributes the most. I didn't start the thread. If the majority decrees it should be shut down, that's cool. If not, feel free to avoid clicking on that link.

That’s fine, I just don’t think you have the right to tell anyone to grow up. When people would very well have that right to respond to you in that manner with every post you make here.

 

With that context, yes, and it is mostly Moog, but I see plenty of discussion happening in here amongst boardies around the details that make or break a toy for them. The acceptable degree to which a toy’s penis is viewable, for example.
