Is that supposed to be a zombie Goji? How on earth can someone paint up a zombie sculpt and make it look so boring? There are so many colors you can use to get that concept across, but I almost scrolled past it without noticing the actual sculpt. The paint job is doing zero favors to the sculpt itself.

These days everything says "Lottery Now". It used to be "Everybody kaiju". Just another senior citizen kvetching about the death of the good old days. Never mind, carry on.

I'm fine with these monstrosities soaking up some of the hype. Everyone gets what they want and hopefully there's fewer eyes on the stuff I actually like.

Don't mind the lotteries so much either. Better than the online shop rush things have turned into lately.

If I whiff I whiff. Only thing that bothers me is that I have to maintain an Instagram with toy pictures to be in the running for half of these. Can't a guy just post pictures of cats and street trash?

That first one, Truman toy or whatever, I was informed that’s the Zheng bootleg guy. Not to dissuade anyone from buying it, but just so those who question why he doesn’t do original figures. Those are his originals

... and yet another 'HEDO / WHATEVER' .... this is certainly a bandwagon toy-makers are not shy to jump on.

I don’t mind the Hedo. I saw another pic of it and it’s massive.

If toys were cheap, you could take a flyer on all kinds of stuff. Yeah, the hedo bandwagon is kind of full, but it is kind of engaging. Would you like it still 90 days down the road?

BTW, the other 2 look like scabs on acid.

To me the Hedorah sundae is fun. Any fugliness is the result of Hedorah being in it, which is acceptable fugliness.

If the Hedo Sundae was ceramic and small I’d be all over it!

I saw some early unpainted test shots (totally forget when or where who who is making it), and the vinyl had a very glossy finish to it, which fits a ceramic sundae dish or melting scoops of ice cream. If whoever paints it can do something to preserve that finish or perhaps give it a glossy clear coat, it will look "right."

The hedo is fine, the fugly factor for me is the endless stream of 'hedo with this' ... 'hedo with that'. Every new iteration followed by fire emojis and people acting like its the best thing they've ever seen. Crossing shit with other shit is not difficult, similar to the endless 'homage' or 'tribute' paint jobs.

To me, Hedorah is a sloppy character so he fits with something like a sundae or a fried egg. There are some other mashups I don't get like Shedorah, I don't see how sludge and boobs fit together, but the figures are certainly popular.

There was a popular teen movie in the sixties titled "Endless Summer". How about a film called "Endless Homage"? If done well it would be very hard to sit through, so it could be quite short.

For what it's worth (I don't know the maker personally but...) the maker of the Hedorah sundae is a huge and long time Hedorah/Kaiju fan, so it's not like they're just hopping on a trend or something. It's something he truly seems to love.

Also he's got a bitchin' Hedorah in a Bandit car drawing, and I want that to be a toy bad.

Found it, Octeel Tattoo: - post about the sundae is pinned. The last photo is the glossy test shot. If they can preserve that glossy finish it's pretty much perfect.

Ah, a nice dose of fugly in the morning.
More franchise stuff, per usual. I would live so happily if I didn’t see another Ronald McDonald homage for the rest of my life. Truly.

@poysntixels The toy has two faces and the hand is behind the head of the first face, so the photo is taken from behind.
