Just so Andy isnt holding this thread up by himself. Here is a KR I just got. Same as the one Scott posted already, except this one has gold legs
Have been clearing out my shelves for a move and finally got to see these Poly toys... for the last few years they have had boxes stacked in front them
This is an amazing collection. Those look like toy shelves from a steampunk world. Not to mention that I really enjoy seeing all those Spectreman items
Thanks guys, so many variations out there and they are usually pretty cheap. Also they really look great when properly photographed. @chimply.kaiju Ahh yes - dont know how she got in there!
@scobot thank you very much for sharing this extraordinary collection, it is at times like this that you realize that there is still a long way to go.
Great stuff Mark. Ive never even seen that one before. Extra credit for resurrecting this old thread.
Very nice! He reminds me a bit of foil-covered chocolate candies. Those extra flaps of vinyl, left over from extracting the toy from the mold, is really neato! p.s. thanks for posting the molded version next to the standard version - nice to have a visual comparison!
Wow, incredible find! I love the gold painted accents. Cool to come back to this thread to see Scott's amazing pictures as well.
That is such a nice poly Baragon, Mark. I love the mix of different textures they used, for such a thinner plastic, they incorporated a lot of different styles and made him stand out even in the unpainted silver. Personally, I think he is delightful, as he looks like Barry's quirky cousin Larry, rather than a mere copy in a different material. The slight changes to body proportions, the longer floppy ears, and especially that goofy face with the wide smile, off-kilter eyes, and big bulbous nose - it's all just so perfect. You can tell that someone actually used the original as a guide, but sculpted their own brand new interpretation, whereas a lot of other boots look like they are cast right off their licensed counterparts. And just the slight accents with the gold and black, a very fine touch to finish him off. This fella has climbed right up there in my books, as well as working his way into my heart. Thanks for sharing!
