^ at first i thought it was ultraman jack. but i don't think he strikes that pose, either. very curious.
Yeah, I think it is probably just two variants of the '66 Ultra, probably produced at slightly different times through Bullmark (maybe they lost the mold or had to resculpt one as it got overused). There is a similar (less obvious pose) change in some of the 'Sevens they made too.
Yeah ... different sculpts and Steve is right - there is also 2 ultraseven's with slightly different arm gestures

Ah, you got the finger puppet D! What a lovely little guy he is. He looks pefectly vintage, what a great job Bearmodel did on these.
^^^ Yeah, he was part of 'The Best Trade Ever' pile from back in September: Pardon the slight deviation from all Ultra, all the time pics.
I've had this for over 25 years, surprisingly I only lost a couple pieces. It comes in a package designed to look like a book. The yellow car is spring loaded and you were supposed to shoot it at other figures lined up, or at the edge of the book and it would fly through the air. I'm pretty sure it came with some little kaiju too, but I seem to have misplaced them or mixed them up with another set. Dated 1984 by Bandai.
Cool Jeff! I have seen some of these Ultras loose, and seen other toys with that crazy launcher system, but I haven't seen a complete set like that. I salute you for keeping it all together and the package in good shape all this time.

And yet, I always felt he had a 'friendlier' face than the normal Ultra, especially in toy form. His supposedly sinister grin quickly turns to a smile when I look at him, and makes me smile in return.
The red and the grey (and sometimes blue) according to ButaNoHana: Some Ultras; some cousins; some imposters; and one that just likes how they dress. One elusive lady to go and I can relax! fuck thats good D! such a great lineup there. didnt realize that the buta thrashman fit in so perfectly size/sculpt-wise. I keep my thrashies in the gargamel section of the display case.
Such a Butiful lineup, I know you are making many folks on here jealous (myself included). I also must point out the 'symmetry' of the photo selection, since I know it is something you were paying attention to.
^Thats a really cool lineup up David. Who are the two guys on the left and right side of the photo? Heres an updated shot of my ultra shelf. Its getting a little on the cramped side.
Here is a better shot of the full Cain costume. I would have pulled better pics from my own DVDs, but the one copy of Jumborg Ace I was able to buy for a reasonable price looks like it was ripped off of a VHS that was taped off of a television broadcast - and this was supposedly an 'official' release.
I never noticed you had that Ultra Ace pendant! I just won one of those a few weeks back only mine doesn't have any red on the chest (and is more grey):
I've been on a big Ultraman kick lately. Just got a few more in my latest shipment, so I thought I'd do a group photo for this thread.
That's a great collection and photo Kingboy! So Giant sized in back, 450 size Ultraman/ UltraJack in the middle, and standard and minis in front? I'm curious about the mid sized (?) Ultraman in front all the way to the left. Is that a bent leg mid sized version or mini?
That's correct. The row in front of the last one (the Giants) are 12" large scale ones. The one on the left is actually 6", and its Ultraman Jack (hard to tell in the photo). I don't think it would be considered a bent leg version (the legs seem rather straight in person - seem to be in a different shape than other bent leg Bullmarks), but I don't see this particular one listed on Club Tokyo. I can take a close-up photo if interested.
And I am not sure about the two large Ultramans. One is definitely more grey than the other, and it only has the 1966 stamp on one foot (missing the SAN logo on the other). Smells vintage. Anyone have any insight? Hopefully its not a bootleg. I am not familiar with the possibility of bootlegs of this toy.
Kingboy, just went through some reference books. Looks like they're both legit. The one that is more grey is on page 11 (going from back) in Yuji Nishimura's book, and the other one is on page 14 and 95 of Saito's Beautiful Book of Monsters. At least it looks like it. Oh and the 6" Jack is on 122 of that book. I really like that Ultraman Jack sculpt. Have to find one of those! I think Ultraman is just as bad as Ultraseven with tons of variations
