Re: SDCC 2013 There are none . . . stay at home . . . head to the beach . . . SDCC is blown out this year!
Re: SDCC 2013 Any non grody collectors headed to sdcc that might be able to pick me up something? I want a zapatalocust http://instagram.com/p/be62skEORX/ . Hit me up and I will advance you the mo-nay.
Re: SDCC 2013 Not toy related, but Mondo has paired up with Olly Moss again to make some amazing prints/posters for Spirited Away and Howl's Moving Castle. The process to get them is a little complicated but probably worth it if you're a fan. If I was going to be there on Saturday this would be 1 of my top wants.
Re: SDCC 2013 Really want these! Thanks for the post David. Spirited Away and Howl's Moving Castle are two of my daughter's favorite films!
Re: SDCC 2013 ^^ Really like those Miyazaki posters too. Even the original art is pretty amazing though, so it is really hard to not love most of it. They did some excellent work capturing his style, looks like these could easily be conceptual pieces for the films.
Re: SDCC 2013 Don't you know, all the hep kids are on the kongz board now. Skullbrain is just a sub-forum of KR.
Re: SDCC 2013 Awesome, these are so good. Mondo has a lot more prints available at sdcc too. They previewed some Pacific Rim and a Godzilla print that look great. The Studio Ghibli X Olly Moss posters were variants so a regular release will come later and be a larger(still small) run.
Re: SDCC 2013 I'm pretty interested in the Pacific Rim posters as well after seeing the movie over the weekend. I really wish Mondo's booth wasn't all the way across the exhibit hall away from all the toys. lol
Re: SDCC 2013 With PK's late addition, some TootiFrooti goodness, Gargamel goodies and a 1:21 timeslot - things are beginning to look up!
Re: SDCC 2013 ^ agreed. Lulubell should have some nice drops as well. Im bringing along some hell box for trading fyi and a couple other unpainted dupe toys. Dunno if anyone will want any of it
Re: SDCC 2013 For any of you bastards attending this week, i'd def. check out this panel. Three incredible hippidy hoppers on that bill. Kid Koala, Del The Funky Homosapien and Dan the Automator http://www.depthoffieldmagazine.com...cs-cultures-combining-at-san-diego-comic-con/ Kid K and Dan will be signing at the Giant Robot booth, not sure what they will have with them. Maybe some of Kid Koala's cardboard gramophones?
Re: SDCC 2013 There doesn't seem to be a single thing at this years Con that interests me unless a surprise Zag gets dropped. Highly unlikely. Instead I'll be muling for some people and heckling all of the C-list losers signing decade old pictures of themselves to pay the rent on their double wides. Good times... Good times
Re: SDCC 2013 The custom zags should keep you busy : ) That said though, the stuff i'm liking this year is on the smaller side (greasebat gummy set, dehara micros, gargamel micros etc.)
Re: SDCC 2013 ^^^ Problem is I don't care much for customs... Don't get me wrong, I have seen some I like, but I can keep the count to one hand.
