@IronPaw @akum6n This actually did come from Lulu, and it belongs to the missus! It’s just such a fantastic set, I had to get it in the light box! She also has a glitter blue mini Uamou RxH cat!
Same here, i always regretted not picking up the full size. It was on Mandarake frequently but then disappeared. That is probably my favourite. I managed to grab these versions back in the day, still love them. I think Uamou did a few more glitter ones than these.
What’s the deal with this mutant head, I remember the blob, but have never seen this head. Was it a custom to match the blob?
I wonder who's collection these two could be in...…… Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm……
Cross-post from the 'Top 5 of 2018' thread, just to keep the photo in the RxH thread. The secret secret release from the debut of the RxH Chaos minis at Super Festival 45 in January 2008. Now we can finally complete the database! Joe? Joe??
Posted with commentary in the Atom A thread in Japan Toys, but I figured I'd stick to showing in this forum
Love how the eyes are painted on this Biterman. He can look down his new RxH arm like 'Oh shit, I wonder how many people I can stab with this?' The pink is a real looker too; I didn't realise it was GID vinyl at all because the hue is so milky. Great example of metallic paint done just right. More photos nested Spoiler: Photos
Been lucky with the collabs lately. This Doku-Rocks is seriously fun to shoot When the light hits it directly the red lines throughout really pop, giving a Tron sort of look to my eye. Spoiler: More photos
Has it been said, or does anyone know why the mini fortune cats in new production have gone the way of the dodo mostly? Is the mold lost in one of those factory mold black holes? Seems like the door on seeing new mini cats out there has closed forever, sadly
I bought a mini fortune cat from Mori’s shop last year in October. Still remember him posting on IG the ones he would have sold the week before. He usually posts what he sold at the shop the weekend before.
You have to take into consideration that the first mini fortune cats were released 12 years ago. There's plenty of other older RxH sculpts that rarely see releases nowadays, so its pretty normal. I'm sure Mori will still release them occasionally but he's a prolific toy maker who is constantly looking ahead. I would imagine its also down to the cats not being the hot new hyped shit, so you wont see them so much on the secondary market as much as the new stuff.
I actually asked him about the Unagi Neko this past D-Con. He remembers me asking for it the year before. He said he no longer makes them so treasure what you have. I have a feeling the fortune cats which are even older than the unagi's are probably retired too.
The eel cat was a collaboration with another shop, so not just Mori had a say in when they were released. I expect its just easier to release toys that are 100% his. Mori always said the mini cats were his biggest selling toy, I would predict he will always release them at least sporadically, if only for nostalgic reasons. http://real-x-head.blogspot.com/2011/02/eel-cat-of-shiba-mata.html?m=1
