google translated: dark image is not original - Expands the soft vinyl material - the actual product may differ slightly - Design will also be printed bills - I have been moving parts of joints diagonally 同体 neck and gross movement is possible. i can't find any info about when this will drop - anybody know? . . . . . "gross movement is possible"
I enjoy the smoothness here. When it comes to imaginary creatures, you can just about make any kind of anatomy work, but to pick up a human body and stylize and deform it like this, and to do it this well, why would you want to hide that with crudeness or textures. The only thing I'm not a fan of is the x on the belly button.
I believe that one of the reasons why restore is moving into vinyl is because the western market ranks soft vinyl as more desirable than resin. This is what i gathered from some machine translated blurbs.
is sure i buy this toy the resin version is incredible, but very tiny, this one i think will be perfect
Well, vinyl is also just a superior material for durability, production, and 'play value'. Resin's great, and can be incredibly detailed, but it will never be as durable.
...no doubt abut the material qualities of vinyl P. I was just pointing out that the move to vinyl seemed at least in part motivated by western demand in order to reassure those worried about availability outside Japan. Based on what i thought i read through the weirdness of machine translation....
Pure madness! I had to buy 2 of the original, resin versions when they came out. Purple and green. This looks like a really fun translation to vinyl. I will come out of vinyl buying retirement to try and score this beauty. Love Restore.
pic from http://toybotstudios.blogspot.com/ Any thoughts? I really like it - but i'm not sure how it would fit in with the rest of my collection . . . . . . maybe i will wait for a different colorway . . . . .
I really love the details on this one but also would not know where to put it . . . this is a kind of stand alone piece.
Pic from Kaiju Korner actually. Here's my full report: http://kaijukorner.blogspot.com/2011/05 ... ample.html
Abe said the expected release date would be mid-June. I'm amazed how he was able to make vinyl look like a resin kit. Everything about it is super precise.
I think I'd like it alot more if it had more spray going on instead of veins. The papers are awesome though.
Sorry dude, i took it from Toybot studios but missed the bit where they credited Kaiju Korner as the originator. My mistake. cool figure, will be interested to see more colorways. I think red with black rub would be good . . . . .
Thanks Andy. Sorry about that. I actually grabbed the pics from another site and then compared them to yours and was..."wait a second....these are the same...!" Great scoop. this toy is amazing...
LOL you've just described my main reason for watermarking pics. Those pics have made the rounds faster than a Tyson/Frazier fight. Yeah RESTORE is going all out with the release. I think Abe's background as a master sculptor and resin maker with a seasoned eye for mixed media accessories is going to make the figure a game changer.
