Stuff of nightmares... More pics up @ Restore: http://www.restore-created.com/catalog/ ... i-version/ Dig all the rad accessories and seriously can't wait to see the face. And still can't get over the clenched butt cheeks.
Oooh. After seeing all those pics, it stings even more, having this guy slip through my fingers. Gonna have to try and score one somehow. Looks crazy pose-able.
Saw the contest news on KC; anyone have input on whether PopSoda will take US orders for this one? I'm very interested... I want to try my hand at winning secret items in the history of vision. In looking at the translated contest page on RESTORE's site, it doesn't look like he's limiting entries to Japan residents...
Yes- because he has a foot in the resin/GK world, and because this sculpt will appeal to many GK builders, it's a damn good bet that the competition will be fierce. We're gonna see many paint-ups in a realistic vein, and there is no shortage of technically killer model painters in Japan. Take, for example, this paint-up of Blackheart Enterprises' Medusa bust (from their awesome gallery page: (http://www.blackheartmodels.com/gallery.html) by Matsugoro in Yokohama:
Hell yeah! It is on. This is an awesome idea for a contest, and I really hope some of the more model-builder types catch win of this and bring some serious heat. The only thing I'm confused on is that it says on Lulubell that the preorder will run for the entire term of the contest, but when does that mean the figures will ship?
HELL YEAH is right! I will definitely be grabbing one of these... I think it must mean that they will just ship on a rolling basis throughout; RESTORE will probably provide them with stock as necessary during the ordering period. I think this is a GREAT approach; more people will be able to get on board (think of the multitude of awesome pics we'll see online as these get done, or when RESTORE publishes a big cache of entrant pics), and it's better promotion (and bigger sales, I'd imagine) for RESTORE. I love what Lulubell has started with the shooting blanks series, and I think this is a great next step. I hope other companies launch similar contests!
some nice details...the bands on the wrist are metal and the bells add to the whole figure as well. wishing it was blue instead of purple.
Did anyone else notice this from the Debris Japan Vinyl insert? I want one for sure. Maybe a few, to make a cannibal style necklace out of. lol
