A friend nudged me into watching Westworld again. I'm still wondering if they're ever going to stick the landing on this show, but: Charlotte = Dr. Doom Bernard = Dr. Strange Maeve = Professor X William = Wolverine Christina = Neo Teddy = Morpheus
Saw that; seemed even more real in a funny way. Not sure what the lead actor/writer (gapping the name) is doing now, but he did stand-up before this series. Hope to see something again soon.
It's less about their roles than the characters ' "superpowers." Charlotte keeps her burns around because the writers need us to know she is evil and crazy.
I'm just in it for the ride these days . . . I need my son to catch up and explain it to me in dumbass.
Just finished 'The Boys' recent season. Enjoyed it, had a few reservations but overall it's a blast. My brother was saying how for him it was too splatter/gore this time but it didn't seem any different to previous seasons for me ...
Sooo.... Better Call Saul... that last episode was titled "Breaking Bad" it's coming to a end, and i'm not ready.
so should i watch that first? i barely started Mr. Inbetween, like on episode 2, so it would'nt be bad to go back now.
How To With John Wilson on HBO Video collage, documentary something or other that offers guidance in how to split a restaurant check, protect furniture, small talk etc. He somehow collects a lot of footage from NYC and weaves into something almost poetic at times.
Reservation Dogs is back; Paper Girls is, not unexpectedly, disappointing, and Better Call Saul is very soon to depart this mortal coil. PS: @eleggua - I noticed.
Have you seen the Belgian movie that works a little like the Magician? Man Bites Dog (Might have been an inspiration for The Magician, I dont know) Back in the day, we would demand it to be played in the bus when going on school trips. Having seen it again recently, I dont know how our teachers dealt with that. It's pretty out there.
There is a lot of Jean luc Godard in Man Bites Dog.I was watching 'A bout de souffle' the other day and got strong vibes.
Better Call Saul Finale... Spoiler Fitting ending I'd say, I like the back and forth over the timeline to tighten everything up. Jimmy had basically beat the system. Yet decided to make sure Kim was 100% solid even if it meant life in prison for him. (although had she not of told the widow about Howard's death, he would of walked away clean in 7.5 years. Nice to see how that all went down, and see Kim gaining some respect back for Jimmy
