Well, glad you guys got it figured out... some better directions on their site might have helped. I'm out at this point... I'm curious to see where alot of the vintage stuff went, but it sounds like the modern prices are going to make me sad.
ok, i seem to be on the morphy live thing, as i can see the current auctions as they are happening (which is quite exciting). is there a way i can see what past auctions ended at?
It seems to list the end price under recent ones if it was an internet bid, but I think the rest of that information will come when the auction ends.
http://www.morphyauctions.com/bidding/live there is the link for anyone who can't find it. you can at least watch. i havent tried to bid live, my max bid is already on there so i am good.
lol...what a clusterfuck. i can only scroll back the last 3 auctions on my browser. i know that i lost out on #201, but that is ok.
Very fun but very frustrating. I got to work early to bid because I have a more reliable internet connection there and then figured out that a firewall was preventing me from bidding. I drove 30 minutes home to start bidding from there but had called in some bids in the meantime. I think I won some vintage stuff for some great prices but Morphy seems somewhat disorganized so I won't know for sure until all the dust settles. There were some killer prices - like the lot of vintage MAT figures, including a SS giant MAT - went for $150.00 I think. In hindsight, being there live was the thing to do. It'll be interesting to see what turns up here and on ebay as winners start to part out the stuff they don't want from the lots they won. I went big on the giant giant kanegon but not big enough - that one continues to allude me . . . .
Based on the lots i assume a lot will make it on to ebay. A lot of ones i bid on i only needed one in the set. everything was so cheap though. I hope that MAT set is good It is tough to see what you win. Diecast seems to be getting better prices then the vinyls.
Hey Mike - Did you get the MAT set? I wanted that one bad and was willing to go pretty big on it but the firewall at work was preventing me from bidding. If there's anything in there you don't want, let me know
i don't speak japanese, but chogokin seems to translate to ka-ching! i think i won lot #267, the robo car, for $200.
I think so. I was bidding and i thought it said high bidder. I had some other wierd issues were it would not take my bid and the auction ended without a last call. Could have mixed up with my absentee bid, who knows. If I did win, then maybe, but I do not have any of the figures in that lot, but not attached to it either. There were so many deals, I would have got too much.
i thought i read somewhere that if the final bid isn't within such % of the estimated value that it doesn't sell?
