Been a hot minute since this thread was updated, and Paul’s bringin’ the heat to reignite the flame. New Chibi Bats, painted and blank! Paul’s been mashin’ up his own toys on one another for some time now, and this is one of the funnest. I can’t get over these colors and how vibrant and alive they are.
I can’t pass up a shot at Paul’s paints but those blanks might be the most delicious shade of blue I’ve seen
@vinyl.zealot He certainly knows how to choose a vinyl base to make you smitten! Such a fantastic sky blue!
I sadly have to wait for out of the bag photos, as the missus made me promise she’d be the one to open it up. But it’s equally beautiful to its Bossy counterpart!
Love this one. I have always enjoyed the face paints and how spot on they are lovely shots as always Waiting for those out of the bag pics Bc they’ll be sooooo good with your lense
I made mention that I miss toys flippin’ the finger and Paul, bein’ the hero he is, comes to the rescue with the Mock Fink! Not only is the stance and flipped finger filled with sass and attitude, it’s also GREAT to see a recent Rat Fink inspired toy that’s not Headlock Sick Boys/Franky or BlackBook Toy, that *actually* looks Rat Fink inspired. It’s also a nice callback to Paul’s rooted appreciation for Ed Roth, as well. Such a fun, fun toy. This bein’ a coin bank styled sculpt I can appreciate the single pull vinyl that’s representative of countless Fink banks that have been produced. Paul went all out on multiple painted versions, as well as some chrome, but I couldn’t resist an OG colorway. And the veins on the eyes are an immaculate touch! The header art was done by Dave Burke, who’s been heavily inspired by Roth, as is notable in his paintings. I don’t know too much about him, other than he’s been at it since the early 90’s, had a joint gallery show with Roth and I believe did some covers for Rat Fink Comix(?). Pretty amazing for Paul to have gotten in touch with him to collaborate on this Mock Fink(and Big Sally) header art! Spoiler
Pink vinyl base, actual, channeled Ed Roth inspiration, signature PK metallics, and a friendly “Fuck You” to top it all off. I will never get tired of this lil’ coin bank. Spoiler
Taboo since it's early but the mockrobat release is hands down one of the most exciting things of 2022 at least for me. I am just in awe of them.
