Thanks for the info Mark- I've heard of the dinosaurs bagged with the Norakuro vinyls, but had not seen them in person. Now that I look back at the Marusan catalog, however, you can see this one in the hands of one of the characters. Also explains why the stamps match the original kaiju sculpt stamps- same time period. Interesting that they would create such a detailed accessory for another toy. EDIT: Page with photos of the 5 Marusan dolls: http://www.norakuro-room.com/70s01/01.html The text suggests that there are color variations of the accessory dinosaurs. Great.
Now that is beautiful, such a nice finish, practically glows, yet kind of a mellow, worn look. Just great!
New guy from Marusan, released under the Tederos line: Look familiar? Wisely, perhaps, they chose to name it King Godoras this time.
Maybe they couldn't fit it under one of their other lines. I forgot that Marusan was re-using their original characters for Tederos (Ebireon, Bamel and Seabull) when I posted this. In hindsight, it makes sense now. Btw, all the white parts are GID.
just picked up this guy. my first yahoo japan auction in a year! i'm so far out of the game... cant remember how to search for any of this stuff!
Nope. Haven't seen any pop up on Y!J...and I don't think Marusan's US site has been updated in forever...
thanks for posting those catalog shots pickleloaf. really made me go through my display case to take some pics.
i'm very jealous the only ones i have really are a handful of the USA released ones from 1998 i think i got the Elex today which is japanese and had that catalog flyer balled up inside
