View this post on Instagram Visited Yoda-san on my honeymoon to Japan and he was super funny and nice to us. He offered me the latest Kaitei Majin and couldn’t say no, the paint application really evokes a bronze statue that has been oxidized, works so well with the character and omake submarine.
I visited Yoda at CKA in 2009 and he didn't say jack shit to me. I asked him about the Gorilla-Ju (which was brand new at the time) and he grunted something to the effect that it was all gone. Maybe he has mellowed with age. That said, that is a nice Kaitei Majin and an oxidized metal paint job done right.

Questions for those who have made the pilgrimage to CKA: Does Yoda speak english? And is pretty much everything in the store for sale, or is it more of a personal collection/museum with a few available pieces thrown into the mix? #prayerhands
@C E Yoda - San speaks very, very little English, but he can understand a little bit more. Anything Longneck isn’t for sale unless he intends it to be, and you’ll know. Otherwise everything else on the shelves that’s vintage and such is indeed for sale. And his shelves and cases are insanely packed with so much goodness.
he has a personal shelf behind the threshold of things not for sale, that are packed with insane insane toys. vintage glory
@michael He's actually since closed that part off, making the shop even smaller. It’s expanded more of his back area. The counter you used to approach him at, and see his ridiculously awesome Bemon collection behind, is now walled off with makeshift racks and stands.
@xSuicide Squadx Gotcha! And thanks! I've been trying to make my (few) emails and instagram DMs as simple and Google-translatable as possible just in case, but guess there's no way round having to meet up in person and pray to the sofvi-gods that one shows at the right time. I get it for the toys, with their limited runs and high local demand, but wish merch could find its way up on some form of online store, so that there was a way to buy via Japanese buying agents. Been drooling over these recent tees for instance: EDIT: Reduced image size
Edit: I totally misread your post, whoops! Would actually love to see an online store exclusively for cheap merch. Stacking Majins is a rich man's game now at resale or retail, so I care less about the toys being available worldwide.
Got Damn, I would love to see a PK collection shot!!! as for the reason I'm here.. Screenshot 2023-10-08 at 11.14.54 AM by Michael McGowan, on Flickr I'll find out soon enough, but can anyone spoil me on this particular Moon? I'm wondering what's inside it..
Moon Man! by Michael McGowan, on Flickr Turns out to be some sort of Heavy Metal? Maybe Tin or Aluminum? It's a skeleton.
