Dude, you did pretty goddamn good for a first time using a light box. There's good use of illumination, and despite them being clear lamé, you retained defined detail. None of the sculpt is lost. @Michael Beverage
... that was nerve-racking & frantic ! Dove for a DIY & was able to add to cart , but Paypal wouldn't let me complete order ... Tried several times to PAY NOW (with clock ticking ...) and finally after about 10 minutes ... . Whew !
My dumb ass refreshed the site for an hour this morning before realizing I was 12 hours off. Then I forgot to try for it this evening. Oh well. Shop drops are apparently not my forte. Congrats to the folks who scored. Going to be searching high and low for one of those uncut beauties.
@Michael Beverage Holy crap. That's tragically hilarious. The uncut + assembled combo was 1st to go live. I'd venture a guess some might've jumped on that just to secure and may end up parting with their uncut when it arrives. So keep those eyes peeled when these start to land.
I scored the non DIY one pretty easily. It is actually the first time I have scored a toy from Shirahama Toy which has not been an open run. I've been trying for a Kumon for three years and I have scored my first three in the past six months. Hooray!!
Came here and saw this post then went and checked and grabbed one easily. Maybe someone emptied their cart and I got lucky.
Well right after I posted here I found out an AWESOME boardie grabbed both the cut and uncut versions for me. Because they knew my dumb ass would do something like that. Made my whole week. A million thanks! @gazpacho- we are getting forgetful in our old age. That, and my brain is pickled in barrel strength bourbon.
I was on the bus when it dropped, but by some miracle was able to check out before they vanished into thin air!
Probably be easy to trade for the assembled version. I am guessing that lots of the people who bought the uncut version will keep it that way.
Fuck!!!! I just missed those. I am so pissed right now. I own zero Kumons. I can never score them. Always just miss out. This GID one was so the one I wanted. Damn. I really thought I had it but messed up on the time. Congrats to all who scored though! For real. That will be a nice bright one at night...... Also as @Vinyl Skin said, if anyone isn't thrilled with theirs when it arrives hit him up first and if he passes PLEASE hit me up.
I was super happy with how he handled the whole drop. Instead of having to randomly refresh for days he announced the drop more than a week ahead of time. Then he said the exact info would be on his blog the next day. The blog gave us more than a full days notice of the exact time of the release and had the rules and product info clearly stated. Plus a couple more IG updates after that mentioning what was already on the blog. Refreshing to see someone take the time to make sure anyone who cares has a shot even if they don't have or use instagram at all.
