I just don’t know if I agree! I love the pre-distressing. Overall it’s a nice package, which is expected. But isn’t it just a tad too derivative? Like they took a vintage King Godras and replaced the horn with a rocket… The whole thing feels like it’s been engineered for max hype, price included. The natural horn seems slapped on.

i think thats what it is! to me it just looks like a fancy boy classic king godras, for which i am a sucker for. i do not however like the natural horn so if it comes with both i would only display the rocket.

paint app is good, stomach volcano is cool. in person pick up is also cool

 

I agree, when I saw this I thought it was another Ilu Ilu copy cat. And it looked like someone took his Radigon and tried to make it look vintage. It looked pieced together, the stomach volcano seems a little out of place, and probably would have been better on the back. To me, it's just not on par with his other toys.

 

For $100-200, I might be interested.

Also- I don't like the faked-up vintage paint wear that some artists have been adding. You want vintage, go buy vintage. I can put toys in the rock tumbler on my own.

 

I was really digging the toy but then seeing that price.. felt like a white glove slapped me in the face saying “not for you” then come to find out it’s iluilu “definitely not for you”

 

I can't be the only one who thought iluilu/utsugiyo/uzumark etc are all the same guy. From a marketing standpoint I love it, so confusing.

 

These look a lot bigger than I expected. I thought it was standard size but this looks monstrous.

 

Iluilu / Uzumark is one guy and Utsugiyo is a different guy.

 

Is this really the run number? Did this guy really make 5.3 Million Dollars in a weekend?

 

That’s crazy, you used to stamps like that on headlock but that stuff was all factory painted and the figures were priced below 150. Didn’t even know if that was true at the time or some random generation.

logistically you would think it would be impossible, impossible to get any Japanese factory to pull that number and then hand paint them. Not to mention just getting that many large figures to and into the convention and conducting that number of sales/transacrions.

If I had to paint a thousand toys I don’t think I’d ever look at a toy again.
