@MisterYuck I visited a Tamagotchi store in 2015 just outside of Harajuku Station. I think it was more of a popup, though. They had full color LCD Tamagotchi, with six buttons. I had no idea what I was doing, of course, but it looked fun and felt super nostalgic. Fuck yeah for takin’ my Dad out to hot wings for his birthday dinner!
to genuine and awesome friends who always go out of their way to help you score some more of these silly toys.
My brother's friend who knows absolutely nothing about Kaiju spotted this fella in a charity shop for 49p and bought it for me. He's seen a few of my toy photos on Facebook and must of paid attention enough to recognise it for something i would want. My brother admitted he would of walked right past it without a second thought. So - a guy i hardly know grabbed it for me where as my own brother (who's seen my collection multiple times) would of left it there for someone else to grab. Fuck yeah for thoughtful people who pay attention to other people's likes and dislikes.
With my mom and sister for the first time in a year. My sis is 10, so you can imagine how she's grown up. My brother flies in tomorrow. You can bet I'm ready to cry a whole ton in the next two weeks.
Fuck yeah, I saw the car parked in the middle of the streetlight-free road just in time... a high-speed collision with a stationary object sure would have changed the character of my evening.
Fuck yeah! Marusan saw the success of the Shin Jirass figure at Kaiju Con the other month and is now doing pre-orders for a re-release on their website for USA and Canada customers. If you missed this beauty, now's the chance to grab one! It's really a lot of fun! (Mine next to Sunguts' Awakening Shin for size and color comparison) Brothers by Doug Hardy, on Flickr
ALSO: this isn't usually the kind of thing I go for or is discussed here, but ThreeZero's 1/6 Baltan shown off at WF is AMAZING. A perfect modern re-imaging of a classic alien. I feel that this one shows a lot of restraint and lets the beast shine! I'm hoping that I can get one when they are announced. Fuck yeah! ^ Hot Toys! Right down to the swapable pincers, ha! Not my bag in the slightest, but fuck yeah to your enthusiasm and best of luck on a score.
Yeah it's rare that I go for the 1/6th stuff. I have a 1/6 Guts from Berserk from ThreeZero and a Captain Rex from Clone Wars by Hot Toys, but that's it. This Baltan is giving me an itch I didn't know I had to scratch.
This shit is kinda long, and probably annoying. So it’s in the spoiler. TLDR; As a way to keep the positivity of the Mummy Boys gifted to me going, I helped out some peeps down on their luck with a bit of dinner monies. Spoiler The recent trio of Mummy Boy I posted in the necessary thread were a very gracious gift from a very cool and sweet collector. That alone is a very big ‘fuck yeah.’ At the end of the initial conversation for their generous offering I made it a point to say that I’ll do my best to pay it forward, as they adamantly expressed wanting no form of payback for the gesture. Not even 15 minutes ago from posting this, as I left the grocery store, I was approached by a woman and her pup, asking if she and a family member could possibly wash the car windows for any amount of monies to get food. I didn’t have cash on me at the time, and expressed my apologies for that, and she thanked me for my time. I live in Phoenix, Arizona. It’s fuckin’ hot out here. She was definitely showing signs of exhaustion and lengthy sweating, as was the man she was with, who was also pacing with cleaning spray and a large rag. I’ve experienced/had the look of defeat that came across her from my response before. As I began to drive off I immediately thought about the Mummy Boys, as they’d just arrived today, and how this HAD to be a situation presented to me to pay it forward, as I just should’ve in the first place. Take that however you want, but I do believe life manifests itself in strange ways like this, and presents itself to us. I immediately re - parked, went in and bought a gallon of water, and paid with a card to get cash back. Presented her and the man with both(which was a measly $10), asked they please be safe, and went about my night. Now there isn’t exactly any way to tell these types of stories without a certain degree of self serving praise, and I honestly hate that shit. But I do also feel like without telling these stories there’s no way to shine light on acts of kindness that hopefully inspire others to do the same. I’m no stranger to giving, or being given to, regardless of who it’s to, be it friends, family or strangers; a lot of people are givers. But this one just happened to strike the right time/cord for the act of kindness that was shone to me via someone within the community. Fuck yeah for acts of kindness.
Going to Paris next week and visiting Disneyland. Only need to visit the Hong Kong one and I’ll have been to them all. Hopefully there’s still one after all the madness going on.
Okay, wow- I see how that looks now. TWO SEPARATE OCCURRENCES. I... I should have phrased it better. skullbrain, I am so so SO sorry.
(Fuck) Yeah Science. Hard to believe Breaking bad started in 08... but it has been fun thus far going through it again. started last week and halfway though season 3 already.
Fuck yeah for my new ADHD meds! I've been totally focused on my work today and not messing around on internet notice boards....
