Garrrr! Totally missed these.
Just a friendly FYI... this thread will be pretty silent from me for a while. I’m having major trouble getting my vinyl from Japan and I just bought a business so I need to focus on that since it’ll actually make money. If you need to contact me I’m sure you’ll be able to track me down. But for now it’ll be crickets here for a bit.
Major bummer about the vinyl hang ups. Hope it's not anything too major of an issue. Congratulations on buyin' up a business, though, dude! That sounds pretty damn exciting! Hope we hear some updates about that, if it's not too intrusive.
I’m baaaaaccccckkkk, at least for a little while. Not that any of you goons missed me.
We have the talented Beth Graves finishing up a new figure hopefully for release this year or early next. Here’s a sneak peak, more to be seen on my IG. Let me know what you guys and gals think.
Beth is extremely talented, and I’m in awe of just how smooth and symmetrical this sculpt is. I’m excited for updates as to the heads!!!
Officially introducing Sekijun. These guys will stand around 6” tall (with stalagmite head) and 5” (with sloth head). They’ll have 4 points of articulation and will of course be cast in glorious Japanese sofubi. The master sculpt will be off to Japan sometime next week, so it’ll be a minute before these are in their final vinyl form. Please let me know what you guys think.
I really like the sloth head version. This reminds me of those battery operated toys that walk with the head that splits in half, revealing a human head.
Man I love that sloth so much!
I’m a sucker for a sloth. Love it!
You are thinking of Changeman!
For your reading pleasure....
I'm a sucker for robots specially nowadays since I started getting into vintage tin. Someone beat me to the Changeman reference, I def see the connection. This sculpt pushes all my like buttons, fantastic!
Nice work man, and great to see you getting back into it. The body is very reminiscent of Robocon toys, love that touch.
I love it
@Russblue11 @Michael Beverage @Robert DeCastro ha good catch, yeah heavily inspired by such toys. As a matter of fact I had drawn up a lizard head version as well but it was too similar to Changeman.
sloth face is a nice twist, and looks amazing...both heads do
Really like the sloth version
Like everyone else: you really hit it outta the park with the sloth.
Look who’s bbbaaacckkkkk!
Such great news. Congrats man. Looking forward to some revival editions
Oh - and - these dudes up tomorrow in my web-locale:
Been a while since these were planned, but it's good to finally see them come to life. Some RT x Splurrt Labmice heads worked out great to create these 'SPACE MICE!'
that stalagmite head is pretty wild looking!
Having a special blank sale to raise funds for the next figure. Check the shop for details.
Wow, how cool to have these blanks available to purchase!
Has there been a release in the orange vinyl yet?
