Spotted a new IG account today, @charactics_official. It only has two posts so far, b&w shots of Hedos and tanks. Could just be a fan account, but they did reply to one comment, saying to look forward to the Hedos. Has anyone more in the know heard rumblings of this? Is it legit? Did someone just buy the moulds?
Can I get a hell yeah! That hedorah on the left is one of my favorite sculpts. I have a glow one but would be happy to have another!
Of course we want more of what we already love, but I'm also hoping for brand new stuff with the same genius aesthetic!

I'm leaning towards legit, given they've mentioned meeting with a sculptor, and the pictures shown so far. I don't believe there were black blanks or paints on a black base of the smaller mid-size Hedo, mini Matango, or standing mini Hedo with two eyes, and they've posted all of those. That last one also stands out to me, as I think all the releases were on clear or light vinyl colours, and these are dark solids. But I might be wrong, someone else might own test pulls, and the pictures are B&W anyway so editing is a possibility. Also wondering if anyone has spoken with them.
That’s a lot of work to pretend to be a basically defunct brand, right? I can only imagine is legit since the opposite is just too weird to me
Ok, awesome! Since these prototypes have been posted, I'm guessing and hoping they're legit as well. This is definitely exciting and I'm glad to see them come back! ❤
This is actually superb news, and I totally agree with @---NT--- in expressing my thanks for posting the heads up here for those not active on Instagram. I really do hope this is a full-on brand revival, by the original squad. If this blows up the aftermarket for Charactics toys - which has been on the TG level of riduculousness of late - I will only applaud. So many great sculpts to be revived, even if there is no shot at new ones (which I am hopeful there will be).
@ultrakaiju I think the two rough sculpts above are new, so there's hope for now. Eyes wide open, for sure. As for revivals, a post from yesterday is a photo of the Bullmark Hawaii Goji, with the caption: (too lazy to upload this one to imgur, sorry!)
